In this video I show how to remove the SB200 amplifier chassis from the case and removal of the tubes.
WARNING: The voltages inside the amplifier are lethal and can kill you. It is imperative that you know how to work on “High Voltage” equipment safely before attempting any work. If you do not know how to safely work on “High Voltage” equipment, get assistance from someone who does before attempting any work.

Hi Mike! I appreciate this series of videos showing the HeathKit SB200 upgrade. I have one in great condition, but after watching your videos, I was encouraged to improve my amp. Thank you very much and congratulations on the work. 73 of PY1TS, Carlos, from Brazil. ps: If possible, I would like to see a video showing its behavior after the modifications.

I can't emphasize enough the importance of documenting each step with pics or video. Unless you do this for a living it's almost a certainty that you will later be very grateful you had the foresight to do so.

I got 2 of them . 1 older and 1 newer . both have BNC input. newer one does not have 10 meter . both have power supply caps bad and older one the bord burned with diodes . got most parts I need. 73's

Gentle suggestion: when working on high-potential circuits...remove rings and/or metal watches/bracelets, even if unplugged and discharged. Please? No criticism, mind you, just abundance of safety.

DUDE! Put a towel in-between the cabinet and your workbench. Don't drag the cabinet around directly on that bench and scratch it. Otherwise great video, especially the discharging :)

Maybe you didn't notice that the surface on my workbench is covered with cardboard. Take a closer look.
