I'm gonna call BS on this one. My truck idles in gear at 550rpm and I have never had a problem with it in the 2 years its been like that.

It does have a hesitation when he comes off idle even out of gear. Likely needs more tuning adjustments. And an owner can set his engine up however he wants. but yes that idle sounds too low. The lope of the idle is one thing, but those erratic misses are a telltale.

Whats wrong w the glass filter?

Heat and glass don't go together. If you want to use it by the tank fine but not on the engine compartment. When that filter breaks you'll have a nice fire on your hands.

Good to know, it's on my firewall but I've ran the glass fuel filter for about 3 years now no problem on my daily 72' Nova

I would just run a standard metal or plastic filter. And don't take a chance on it. Hate to see someone loose a nice hot rod over a $4 filter.
