SBD Dauntless Series Part 2 Mission Profile and Pacific Actions up to the Battle of the Coral Sea 

The US Navy's SBD Dauntless dive bomber entered service with the Navy and Marine Corps in the years directly preceding the war against Japan in the Pacific theater. In this episode we examine the missions that the new carrier bomber was built to carry out, as well as the employment of these relatively untested machines in the early raids and battles against the forces of the Japanese Empire in late 1941 and 1942.
