I play local league in falkirk Scotland, and thought I was an OK player until I played a national tournament in Aberdeen where lauren charles was playing, and I drew her in the group stages of an event and in 3 sets I scored 4 points. Honestly just shows the quality between a local league player and a SBL championship player Honestly never felt so down after playing a quality player but now I understand why she number 6 in England woman and I am just a average player, but after playing her I managed to focus on my game more, it pushed to drop 10lbs of weight and be more prepared for local league this year so was a blessing in disguise. So thank you lauren charles
Do you live off playing in the SBL or do your have another job. If you have another job where do get the time to practice, go training stints abroad, go to gym and play in the league itself etc.
Hey so I don't make any money playing from SBL, I'm actually a university student so I don't have a full time job just yet. During summer I worked a 9 to 5 and just trained where I could afterwards, around 4 times a week. Long days but its worth it !
