The SBS Arena Rock humbuckers bring all of the crunch, power, sustain and blistering tone of an over-wound Alnico V pickup but add that FATNESS that really fills up a track and sounds incredible through an amp.
The "Secret Sauce" of the SBS humbucker line is our Hi-Gain, "Tuned Coil" winding system. We accentuate the upper mids and high frequencies allowing us to wind these very hot without losing string response. We use high quality materials like German Silver baseplates, genuine Alnico II Magnets, and each pickup is vacuum potted in a beeswax/paraffin mixture for no-squeal playing at high gain levels. These are four-wire pickups for easy coil splitting. All SBS humbucker are "F" Spaced for perfect alignment with Floyd Equipped guitars.
Like all SBS pickups, the Arena Rock Plus set is designed by Steve Brown in the USA. They feature the GFS proprietary "Kwikplug" system so you can swap pickups out in an instant- NOTHING ELSE TO BUY- they come with a standard solder lead just like any replacement pickup, but ALSO can be instantly plugged into any SBS guitar or GFS pickup harness. Each pickup comes with a four wire lead for easy soldering, pickup height adjustment screws and springs.
