Great second game from uThermal, very close. The pressure and harass was incredibly well played, efficient and as fast as any top terran. Also great defense against the constant ling runbys, almost got that map off of Serral. Great game from both players, amazing comeback.
Uthermal had a 50+ army supply lead over Serral for a VERY long time, any other player on the planet would have lost to that lead, but Serral is not a player, he is a god...
There are some really annoying casters in the group stage and because of them, i didn't watch some games. It's good to see, that there are some really good casters like these two guys. They take der job serious and they aren't laughing all the time, like other casters. But most important: They have a really pleasant voice and a really pleasant speed of speaknig - not too fast, not too slow. Good job guys👌
uThermal went full mongol after the +3 attack upgrade, never used the floating expansion, never upgraded, never got any other unit then the 3 he already had while seeing ultras and still manages to lose with 50+ supply lead.
I don‘t get it. Uthermal constantly up 50 army supply, pushing serral back to 3 mining bases (which also means fewer larva which is essential for ling/bane), constantly pressuring, creepspread is low, fighting with liberator, tank, mmm against a pure ling/bane defense (ok 1-2 vipers) and zerg keeps expanding while teching into ultras and counter attacking? Let me be your daily dose of balance whine, but neither a terran nor a toss would have recovered from this situation, no matter who is playing.
Most Zergs would had lost there. It's not Zerg OP, its just Serral. Most GM Zergs: 1. Would Had lost injects during battle. 2. Would not save (twice) their drone line by sending lings to keep busy the bio. 3. Would dive on the tank line. 4. Would not chase medivacs in order to delay the bio from regrouping. 5. Wouldn't care to send the lings from the 5 oclock hidden base in such a way so as not to show their trajectory. 6. Wouldn't had the APM or the clear mind while in huge pressure to counter attack and destroy reinforcements or SCV lines. That's why Serral is the GOAT!
It wasn't a won game, he had no Ghosts and a run-by that would force his army back. He knew that the second he went back, his wings would be vonurable to counterattacks.
