Best-of-3 series of high level StarCraft 2 from HomeStory Cup 23 between uThermal (Terran) and Shadown (Protoss). In this series Shadown decides to fight fire with fire as he cheeses uThermal who's going for some very cheesy Terran build orders.

My favourite kind of game to watch and play is where both sides cheeses the living daylights out of each other and slowly somehow transition into a long game.

But you players these days don't even know about cheese unless it's eco cheese. Back in my day 😂 (2010-2011 old days I'm a Starcraft 2 Boomer I suppose) you had to be good at doing and stopping cheese if you wanted to win this macro meta you guys do nowadays didn't happen back then because you'd get cheesed or all inned every game. Watching Uthermal certainly makes me feel nostalgic though

@Randomchmkin Cheese is life should've played back in the old days(2010-2011ish) most every game looked alot like this we werent as good at macro as the current players might be but there no shortage of cheesy nonsense we came up with. Many of the cheeses you see ppl doing nowadays we invented it

That is quite clever. Abusing the lack of Orbitals after a Planetery Rush by going for two different cloaked strategies. Very neat.

Yea, uThermal is a funny guy. I'm watching his challanges almost everyday. It is really intersting way of playing SC2. Your units are often in unique situations and you can learn quite a bit about them and their capabilities. Nice video, btw :)

Alright.. This might be the G.O.T.Y. this year. I normally watch your videos to get drowsy and sleep even though I love SC2.. it somehow makes me sleepy. This game did not, I was wide awake watching every crazy move both of them made. Crazy game, great casting.

Protoss vs. Terran makes Zerg vs. anything look amazingly, incredibly boring. I actually think that's my biggest problem with Zerg: the way the race works disincentivizes totally over-the-top early game strategies because building bases or structures away from the main Creep spread means the Queens can't reach it easily which in turn means that those structures are very vulnerable.

When they have been given a mining order they don't have any collision and will go through other units, otherwise a fully saturated mineral field would be a mess of workers getting stuck on each other.

Probe rush is the weakest worker rush Drone Rush is the best way to do it (Zerg can make workers more quickly than the other races and can take an extra hit because of health regen) its better to do a worker rush with lings/Zealots/Marines etc Edit: And when you pull the boys you go all or nothing (you can leave a couple behind but that's it)
