Scale can be a confusing thing in miniature war gaming. Luckily, with a few minutes of research you can kind of figure it all out. So this video is for people who have less than 30 minutes to spare and what to learn it all in 4!

hay man i found the video you told me in your live stream this does help alot and im glad i asked i dont no if you will ever see this but how would it work with a 3d print of lets say dragon that 75mm would that mean compared to a gw dragon scaled at 28mm it would be nearly 3 times the size of that dragon for example

Always good to see a new SDub video. While this is a good general hobby video. It's technically wrong in saying there is a "28mm scale". A scale is always a ratio, percentage, fraction, or letters when talking about model trains(N, S, HO scale). What's commonly known as 28mm miniatures are 1/58th scale.

I'm confused. What's wrong about the video? The video is in reference to miniatures for war games or painting, not necessarily trains and "28mm" is definitely a scale we frequently use! Thanks for any and all feedback!

Hey buddy. It's still good to acknowledge the train scales because of how much stuff there is out there for trains. It's good to know that O Scale scenery usually works well in 40k (less so with Marines, more so with Guard).

All mini painters know generally how big a common 28mm figure is supposed to be. The video is not confusing or anything. What I'm saying is it's improper to call 28mm a scale. A scale is a comparison or ratio between two things. Saying 28mm scale only provides one measurement. It's like if I told you the temperature outside was 21 without knowing if i am using Fahrenheit or Celcius.

Coolness, thanks Miniac friends. Help here: a real shower pipe is 20mm in diameter & it's distance from a real water tank's outlet hole is 1m. My miniature pipe is 2.72mm, what's the distance of the miniature water tank's outlet hole? Thank you. God bless, Revelation. 21:4
