Evan from his RU-vid Channel Panzermeister 36 gives us an excellent introduction to weathering techniques for scale modelling. Check out his videos : / @panzermeister36
This is so cool. o.O Lacquer thinner from the hardware store is very concentrated. Eats plastic containers such as dram bottles from ShoppersDM. Careful about getting it on your hands, removes nail polish extremely fast, along with your table's finish. The RU-vid ads are making me itch to bring fire safety pamphlets it and curse fake medical news. I watch everything, but with a buttload of salt (NaCl).
Hello Bill and Evan outstanding video on products I'm just getting into. It really clarifies the entry level position on using this leavel of product especially when you look at all the " racks " of products next to the paints. Now I feel confident in heading in the right direction. A " Biblical " experience for sure. I'll repeat the video and also go visits Evan's page as well. The more I watch the more I learn. Thanks so much for giving me a heads up on this tutorial Cheers to you and Evan , Bob
How do Ad, hope you and the family are all ok ??? Re.... The sexy beast on the right.... That's what Ev looks like... I always thought it was some sort of new Modern technology all you chaps come up with over that side of the pond and I was watching a new state of the art "Does the cleaning by itself", Mop type thingy !!! Lol. I never EVER get tired of watching Mr Ev. Ev, we've known each other now for a number of years and you know how fond I am of, not just you, your person Ev, but your work and efgort you still do for our brill community whilst, going through your uni, jobs, home life and so on and i say that on purpose as 1, its true and 2, these plonkers that cant seem to help themselves but to run good, decent, caring, selfless, hard working folks, and work theyve taken the time out of their 100mph lives not only to build and do the project but then taking hours, minutes, days whatever to share their work with good intentions to help and assist many, community members like myself.. down and many of these planks need to remember that, when their jealous, boring and sad, little, immature thoughts take over there actions). When I .first started watching your vids, and stuff god, you were so young and really how you did and still managed to do all of the aforementioned is beyond me. Many like yourself, Frankie, Coen, Nige, Paul, Mr Mac etc etc in my eyes are heroes and everybody will be thinking I'm kissing ass etc but you know, I don't do that, but you became heroes without knowing it. I'm a vet as you know and I'm far from it but I know heroes when I see one and with, by now I must be surrounded by haters, so what I mean is ..during lockdown everybody's mental health wasn't great as we know but with doing our wonderful hobby, doing projects and posting them on here, FaceACHE, sorry Facebook and so on I'll tell you all now.... Just think how Manyxlives you saved from people tuning in and being able to close the door on the World and their horrific invisible killer to watch you and others then, of which, because of your selfless incredible techniques, how toos, reviews, empathy, etc, etc, etc, were able to forget about the invisible killers and other horrific, traumatic issues in their lives, even for just a couple of minutes, but because of this, kids still had parents, brothers, sisters, friends, colleagues that were their world and these people were all able to wake úp tomorrow morning and continue with their lives. Anyway like I said I met you years ago and have been with you very since and Ev.....PLEASE, PLEASE, take a bow, hold your head high when the plonkers mentioned, moan and go on at you, dailly in some occasions, you holdcyourchead high mate and a L others that can see the bigger picture. You know as I said regularly, you ever need anything please PLEASE give me a tinkle. If I can't help, ill surely know someone or something that can help. So.... THANK YOU and keep doing what your doing .... THANK YOU Ev
Evan the film star lol...had to double take...thought "Thats PM"....lol..for me ,making ur own weathering materials was and still is half the fun...was making washes and doing chipping dirt etc, befiore youtube was even thought of back in late 70`s....looking at AK and Ammo bottles of wash they are identical apart from names I bet they are actually the same washes from one company
Mig is ammo... the same firm... when useing pigments you have to fixing them. Sorry but make streches isn't drybrushing is not the same... there so many things put together. Watch nightshift, mig or flory etc.
No, "MiG Productions" is under the Abteilung 502 brand, which is now owned by AK Interactive. "AMMO by Mig Jimenez" is a completely different brand. Night Shift or Flory would even tell you that 😅. Mig Jimenez has had an interesting career and lost a few companies along the way. AMMO is his third attempt.
@@Panzermeister36 mig worked for ak ... ak comes from vallejo... all the same all the pigments are the same. Nearly the colours are the same. Real colors are different. If there are delivery problems, the same color pigments are sold out...Mig was "created" by jimenez thats why it called mig ;-) and thats the same products like ammo of mig same mixtures same recipe...
@@marcospringer7525you're moving the goalpost since your original comment was that they're "the same firm" when they're clearly not as you have now realized. And of course the products are the interchangeable; that was half the point of the video.
Thank you, gentlemen, for a great instructional vid. I learned a lot from this and my issue is the "less is more" aspect of weathering. Again, many thanks and happy modeling....
