Scalextric 12T Pinion Gear Conversion Sidewinder Slot Car 

I know this is July 2017. many people watching are having trouble understanding what you are saying. It is much better than it used to be, just letting you know. I do enjoy your videos.

Its louder because the gear mesh is to tight going one tooth up! It's none adjustable and the motor cant be moved away from the spur gear . I would personally say the benefits of one tooth on the pinion are not worth the extra drag on the motor and gears. Like he said after awhile Tue noise will dissipate some but only because the gears plastic is wearing away from all the friction.

That 12t gear sounds quite noisy compared to the standard 11t. Oops, spoke too soon, you covered it yourself.

Why the cars flying off the tracks every while..? Even with magnets.. depended front axle..?

What brand is the gear and who sells it ?

I did that to one of mine...had to get rid of the 12t. Sounds terrible and didn't matter much...

Are there any slot car companies that can interchange track and can join / fit together? Which company type track should I buy to be the best?

Great review, thank you for doing these videos. I do have a question. I run Carrera digital 1/32 and I have chipped a few cars SCX and Scalectrix cars for Digital 1/32. Is there a bigger slot guide for these brands that work better on the Carrera track. I some times run ito the issue where the SCX or Scaley car will not reset the lane changer cause of the smaller guide.

Dude that gear mesh sounds nasty now! You can’t just change the pinion without changing the spur as the motor mount is fixed! You should know that.

What brand 12t pinion did you use?
