I started doing this massage routine nightly and consistently for the last 2 months with my scalp mixture of jojoba oil peppermint, rosemary, and lavender. All I can say is I’m so happy because my hair has been growing an inch every 3 weeks. This massage is a beautiful addition to my life. Thank you so much for this video. I now have over 2 and a half inches of growth from less than 2 months.

if you apply oil every day, do you wash it off every day?
@aprilfisher3731
@aprilfisher3731 2 года назад
Actually I started to apply these oils with the addition of tea tree oil so I could extend out my wash day too. I was getting really itchy scalp and having to wash every 3 days and it was drying my scalp and hair further. Now I can wash once a week and my scalp dosent get itchy like it used to

@flos109
@flos109 Год назад
@@shawndanewby8941 Yes it does help. If you keep being consistent and find the right way to take care of your hair you can reach your goal. Half a year ago i found out about scalp massages and my hair has never been so healthy. You just need the right hair oils, conditioner (optional), shampoo and professional treatment. I recommend you go once a month to a professional hair oiling treatment (not sure what it is called lol). One thing that also is the key to your goal is being gentle, if you are being agressive etc. you will fall way more away from the goal you have set.

all i can say that this is the best scalp massage ever, growing out curly hair is pretty hard and if this works for curly hair, imagine how good is for have wavy/straight hair. This is the best thing you can ever do to your hair. My hair was so thin a year ago and after that thin phase my hair started falling out, i tried everything to stop it. Doing scalp massages saved me. I get so many compliments on my long hair and also on how healthy it is.

My dad is from Egypt he used to put olive oil in my hair and massage it, sometimes I would fall asleep especially in my left side on his knees while he was watching TV and he would continue to massage me from the right side and guess what! My hair on the right side was always longer and I was wondering why was that happening!

I've been doing scalp massage for over a year now & I actually do use my fingernails to gently massage & now I've got the strongest & healthiest fingernails! Didn't expect that. So happily my hair & nails are much better. My hairdresser is impressed w/my hair growth & thickness. Go for it! Free & doesn't take much time.

I massage my scalp 2 times a day sometimes the scalp becomes tender in certain areas. I just back off to 1 X day or occasionally skip a day. The rest is appreciated by my scalp and I think the hair needs a bit of rest Rubbing too hard can break the hair and damage the hair follicle. I use a battery operated hand held vibrating massager. It causes less damage than using fingertips.

Do you brush your hair after the massage? Sorry if it’s an inappropriate question for your hair type. Mine’s just wavy and thin, that’s why I’m asking. As it can get tangled after the massage

I don't think so Brushing your dry hair can be bad if you have curly hair ( mine is kinda similar and I only untangle it when it's wet) You can untangle it with your hand very softly if you want, since your hair is wavy I think it might be a bit easier

Stress, hormones, and hair styles can cause loss. I find that massages with rosemary oil and lavender oil with a carrier oil helps stop loss. It stimulates the hair follicle and strengthens the grip it has on the hair strand. I also take fresh sprigs of rosemary and make a hair spritz for the roots. Simmer the sprigs in a few cups of purified water for 15-30 minutes. Strain. Apply to roots daily and let air dry. This also strengthens the grip. It keeps in the frigerator for a week. .

How long can it take to make your hair grow longer and thicker by scalp massaging every time you washing the hair if it really works? But how can scalp massage make your hair grow longer and thicker if your hair is most controlled by the genes and least don't have any vitamin deficiency?

Because it increases blood flow to the hair follicles, which means that the hair follicles have a better supply of nutrients, and can therefore work better. According to at least one study, the massage also stretches the hair follicles, which causes them to produce thicker hair (individual strands).

Your hair is beautiful, and long,but surely you can't credit all that growth n thickness to scalp massages. We all know genetics,n diet play a role. You also seem to have a consistent hair care regimen too. Also are you biracial as well? You know some people may think if they just do these massages they are going to get these kind of results. Some may do this every day n may not still have long hair, just don't want to mislead others. Disclaimer: this may not work for everyone.

Girl. I have thin, fine, straight hair. I'm fully aware that my hair won't look like hers after four weeks of rubbing my scalp; if anyone in my position assumes that, that's on them. I also find it interesting how people with straight hair can make videos about hair care and it's just a given that it won't work for curly/coily hair, but people with curly/coily hair (very specifically black women) have to disclaim that their advice isn't universal. Of course it isn't, pretty much no advice ever is.

I was told you need a carrier oil with rosemary oil to massage the scalp. Otherwise it will burn the scalp. Is that true?
