right? the way they say 'you HAVE to' just grates on me. And the 'r' pronunciation you must rrrrap the cash! And don't discuss about us, that you are on a phone call, and definitely don't ask for your balance at the bank! The UPS will steal the money if they know that's what is in the package. Someone should report these employees 😄

It’s really not though, tbh. The population of India is 1.4 BILLION PPL over a land mass or area that is just slightly over 1/3rd the size of the U.S. and they hv Approx ONE BILLION more citizens than we do!! If, let’s say; ONE HALF OF ONE PERCENT of the ppl in India are scamming, do you realize that means that 6.5 MILLION scammers are actively trying to steal from innocent victims in first world nations?? I don’t believe that number is anywhere near 6.5 million. I only know that bc in the unlikely event that a (med-lg) scam call center is actually raided & shut down by India’s cybercrime authorities, there is an appreciable decline in scam calls/emails. IOW: the volume of theft decreases after the closure of just one good sz’d call center. If there were even 1/4 of the population (3.25 Million) still scamming, the decline would be totally negligible. Therefore, you cannot blame an entire race, culture or country for what relatively VERY, VERY FEW (based solely on population) are doing. Their fellow citizens believe they are a total disgrace & embarrass India on the world stage. And the scammers families? The vast maj are appalled & they bring shame upon their families as they are outcast by society. There are also some parents who remain silent and are complacent bc the scammer may be supporting an entire extended family. I believe that is the exception more than the rule. ~TheMoreYouKnow😉

Another issue facing the victims of these thieving chods is India’s law enforcement officers or, officials (LEO) as well as the government’s unwillingness to investigate or take any meaningful action whatsoever against these scam call centers. I believe it stems from a profound disinterest (they simply do not care bc they’re not the ones losing their life’s savings) and the other reason we don’t see prosecution or even charges against these scammers is CORRUPTION!! Even when LEO from the USA, UK, NZ, AU reach out w/overwhelming evidence, nothing is done bc bribes are made, money exchanges hands and the evidence disappears. The corruption runs deep esp w/local LEO but, others aren’t much better. Media attention is the only thing that seems to do anything but, it’s very little. I think all nations of the world should CUT OFF ALL FOREIGN AID TO INDIA: ALL OF IT!! The foreign aid will be restored when these criminals are convicted & jailed. PERIOD!!! THIS IS THE ONLY THING THAT WILL GET THEIR ATTENTION!!! Scammers steal $10.2 BILLION DOLLARS from the citizens in first world nations.

@@blackeyefly Well, if decency played any part in things, they would stop these crimes from happening based on the fact that these people are stealing money. It’s not like a legitimate business. But of course, you’re right. They’re probably not stopping it because it’s a billion dollar industry. I wonder how much of the economy it makes up. The only way they’d try to stop it is if the US was able to put pressure on them, but I don’t know enough about global politics to know if the US are even in a position to do that somehow. I would guess no, otherwise they would’ve gotten them to stop this a long time ago.
