I'd love to see you release a series of videos on how to avoid being scammed. A series of educational videos on the different types of scams carried out, how to spot them and when the alarm bells should be ringing. These scam baiting videos of low level call centre script followers are fun , but I bet your viewing audience is predominantly people who are already aware of scams. Your average Vivienne isn't watching scambaiting videos on youtube so she can learn how tor avoid being scammed.

Thank you for what you are doing also as a company to help vulnerable people who may be being scammed. I live in the UK and I was scammed by a so called Microsoft engineer two years ago and I was told to buy gift cards from an Argos store. Luckily the cashier asked why I wanted to buy around £400 worth of Google Play Cards and pointed out a sign to me from the West Mercia Police Forces regarding internet fraud. She rang the police fraud team number to tell them what happened and the police told me to go immediately to go to my local bank branch to get my bank account frozen as well as my credit cards. The scammers managed to get around £200 from my account and had also set up a direct debit from my account for around £50 per month which was recurring and linked to one of my bank credit cards. The bank managed to repay the money that was taken and the direct debit was cancelled. The police fraud team kept a watch on my bank account for around six months and kept me informed about what they had done. I have not been scammed since which is all thanks to the Argos cashier doing a wonderful job and also to the police fraud team and bank for keeping watch on my accounts.

I think the lack of opportunity to earn an honest living is the main reason they go for employment in the scam factories.

Easy to say if you’ve never been to India and know opportunities are extremely slim and living on $2 a day isn’t livable. So this is what they do.

Using companionship as a target is just as bad as going after the elderly/non technical. May I ask how they ran the scam (without giving too much personal details ofc)? So maybe others can be aware of what to watch out for.

There's actually quite a lot of humanity in this world but because videos that center around negativity get more views we tend to see mostly negative news. I love this channel because it shows the kind of humanity that is out there. It gets tiring watching all the negativity in the news. If you arent seeing a lot of humanity its always a good idea to create it. It feels quite good to help people. I often help the homeless in my neighborhood and i also help a lot of elderly who's electric scooters die. I live near an assisted living home and i find elderly people all the time (maybe once a week) that are stranded because their scooters run out of battery. I always push them home. People do things to help others every day but it goes unnoticed because negative stuff gets more clicks and shares. Dont get your spirits down. Good people are everywhere.

It would be better if they never did, and better yet if someone could figure out how to wipe ALL of their accounts, return the money, call flood their centers continually, bring them to their knees, and generally just drive them NUTS. They really are useless pigs, of no benefit to anyone, just the scum on scummy people's shoes. What would really be nice is if the US army went to the call centers and just beat the holy hell out of them, but you can't do that, either. Have I mentioned I really don't like scammers very much?

There are 2 Ohio City's in ohio. 1 is a neighborhood in cleveland and the other is a city near Indiana. Neither of them are near Columbus, which is where Ohio State is.

How did you not spot that it was a scam up to that point? Every time I hear an Indian accent on the phone I know it is a scam, immediately. Never ever have I been called by someone with an Indian accent who was honest and working with a legitimate company.

Actually the whole thing is to catch those elderly who are non computer savvy or with mental impairments. Think about it, how they talk really fast, and make connections, and threaten them. To us it makes no sense, but if it has gotten them so much money, it has to work.

It doesn't make sense to us, but unfortunately lots of non tech savvy elderly people fall for it unfortunately
