@@edgarfleming9308 These guys are High Court enforcement officers, that is, they are officers of the Court. Not sure what the equivalent term would be in the US, but they are very different to ordinary commercial collection agents. They are executing a writ of control (aka a writ of fieri facias) issued by the Court. They can force entry into commercial premises, and they can force entry to a residence if there are goods under control there. They actually have fairly wide (although not unlimited) power to seize goods. High Court enforcement officers are only dealing with writs issued by the Court; not with common personal or commercial debts. And you're right, fortunately the UK does not have America's insane gun culture. The UK has around 0.02 gun deaths per 100,000 population, while the US has around 12.2 gun deaths per 100,000. In fairness to the US, it's not the worst in the world - the rate of gun deaths is higher in Venezuela.

It's pretty shitty if you are scammed into beeing Guarantor for someone elses debt. I think you are allowed to be emotional about it ! Never ever become or aquire someone else to be a Guarantor! Or as we say in Germany "Den Bürgen sollst du würgen" = "You should chocke out the guarantor" There is no advantage for involving a guarantor when you get into debt, it just enxtends the bad luck to more people if the debter get's insolvent. Only the banks profit from guarantors. It's a big scam. And helps no one.
Who allows their parking tickets to become over 2,000 pounds? I honestly feel sorry for the wife. Her husband seriously needs to man up and be accountable.
Yes, and some retards even think that's so professional. Real low IQ short term thinking. The reality is that every time you let people get away with things like that, the law loses some of it's stature, and somewhere down the road it will have none. That's when the local pimp / pusher rules the street you live in, and just takes your kids 'out for the night'... and it's hell exactly for the manginas who think being so loose is so cool.
I cannot believe these parents that allow their kids act like thugs, act badly themselves and don’t expect their kids to take any responsibility at all!! Shameful and disgusting!!!!!
That poor mum that was the guarantor, she just did a favour for her son and he put her in such an unfair situation and caused so much unnecessary stress

Stop fucking lying. Bailiffs are just an regular company acting on behalf of an court. They are basically no one, you can keep your doors locked and tell them to fuck off and come back again with an warrant, writ is not one.
Also, over here THEY have to prove that things are mine. As long as they are not under my name in some registry, they can fuck off and not touch a thing.
@mylife But these guys are not bailiffs. They are High Court Enforcement Agents and they have greater powers than bailiffs. In certain circumstances, and provided the correct legal procedures have been followed and the paperwork is in order, they CAN force entry into your property and seize goods.
@@lawsonj39 He could have fallen on hard times but A. He didn’t warn his mother how far the debt had progressed and B. When they called Gerda or whatever her name was the mum was saying ‘Please Gerda, I will pay you back’, but Brandon should be paying it.
Sadly in the UK they don’t care, here in the USA the worst would happen if Brandon didn’t pay and his mom had co-signed is they’d ding her credit and turn her in to collections, but they’d never show up at her house taking stuff. A secured loan where you put up select assets for collateral is another good option here where if payment defaults the item financed is repossessed and sold, nothing else. It hurts your credit rating BUT you’ll only lose what was put up for security, not a bunch of other things.
@@J.R.in_WV It is very sad and unfair as well. Especially to those who kept up with their payments. Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me. I really appreciate it. Stay safe now my friend.
That father and son are just oversized toddlers. Most people learn that throwing a tantrum, being defiant, making threats and name calling doesn't fix anything. Do they really think the enforcement agents will say "you WERE going to have to pay off this debt but since you said no🖕 I'll just throw out the writ" 🤦
Imagine someone coming to your house and telling you that someone you know is in debt and if YOU can't prove that things in YOUR house are yours with receipts, they will take it.
I'm guessing it's someone that lives in your home or if you signed as a guaranteed, I do know that in mexico if someone owes and somehow put that they live in your house even if it's not true they still want to collect even if you have no idea who that is. So retarted

U got that right. I sign a paper for my brother as he couldn't stay in his apt as his wife left and his disability payment would pay the rent but his rental agreement said he had to have two times the rent it he would be kicked out. He couldn't stay with me as I live upstairs and he was in a wheelchair. Long story short his wife came to stay for a week after my poor brother died and agreed with the mgr to pay for the week she was there. Got $ from all his tools and two vehicles and skipped town after the funeral. They came after me as she told them she wasn't going to pay the week she was there. Ugh. I got collected and they came after me. Only thing that saved my butt is my bankruptcy so they apologized and backed off so I didn't have to pay $263.00. the sister in law got the nerve to ask to stay with me. I told her never call again and blocked her number. Disgusting ppl.
Speak for yourself. I got my mon to consign as a guarantor two times, when I was around 20. Both times I paid all the money eventhough that would mean I eat only bread and mayonaisse that month, if necessary. My mom helped me, that doesn't mean I'm gonna leave her with debt.
The first two father and son were just a lovely pair... Father comes to the door with an attitude... they're both told the son legally owes money... and the sons response is to just say "I'll just go bankrupt" as if that's an easy thing that just solves everything, and the fathers reaction is to.... laugh??? Rather than just pay the money you OWE to someone... they work together to find ways not to do that. Great example there dad 👌.
What I don't understand is how they were going to seize the Alfa and then another car and more property, the Alfa is worth more than 4000£ surely, wouldn't that cover the debt then
@James Price they say they only get like 20-30% of the estimated value at the auctions. (I really want to find these auctions. It seems like you can get really cheap stuff) so they make sure to take more than enough to cover the debt so they don't have to come back. 🤷♂️ I'm not sure about the US law on these things, so I can't speak to that, but... that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. The UK law makes perfect sense. If the law was the other way around, (meaning the agents had to prove who owns what) then debtors could just claim everything doesn't belong to them. "This car and that TV... and... that snowmobile, they all belong to my mom!" Of course, everyone would just claim they don't own anything to avoid paying. THEY put themselves in this situation so now the responsibility of proving who owns what falls on them. Thats their fault.
@@Qaor If you search Bristol Car Auctions, Police Auctions or East Anglia Car auctions you will find these cars turn up there. Not all the cars will be seized examples mind, obviously people also just decide to auction their cars sometimes, the way to tell is usually (if the auction doesn't state they are) that they will be missing basically all the information, not just the service history but also things like the V5c, which will be a bit of an admin pain and cost you about £50 more on top to get new docs from the DVLA. Can be a great bargain because sometimes you get a tasty low mileage motor which had FSH for less than 50% of the true value, but sometimes you buy something that's shagged and barely running, didn't have any work done on it ever etc. It's all about how confident you are in looking at a car, run the engine, and putting your money where your mouth is because at these auctions they don't let you take it for a test drive because there are usually about 5-10 people interested in each car and they've got 50-100 to sell per day.
@@Qaorfault of the debtor yes. Not the fault of the person who simply owns the property the debtor lives in. Fact of the matter is most people can’t prove what they own. Very few people keep receipts/records of what they own.
Yeah. Bursting into a sweet old lady's house. What a bunch of heroes. It's outrageous UK law lets this happen. They could garnish wages without invading people's homes. These fatasses would wet themselves on the battlefield, so they're tough by intimidating grandmas.
Most people hate the rip off artists, not the people trying to set things right. The wronged parties are thankful to the bailiffs, who do a service to them.
In America they touched those bailiffs, they would be in cuffs and off to jail. Especially attacking him like that. Tasers, handcuffs, the whole 9 yards
It looks to me after watching so many of these that the bailiffs don't want to prosecute as long as there is no serious bodily injury (which hasn't happened). They just want their money, then they get paid. Bringing charges against a minor tussle where no one is hurt isn't worth their time to file charges and go to court.

I don't know where you live, but here in Europe it's called a credit card because the card has *available* credit. This is fascinating. The United States has nothing but to file for Bankruptcy when a person cannot pay their debts. The other punishment for not paying is poor credit (and I think without credit, its very difficult to get through in life). I wish we had your system of collection since its quite common that people win civil lawsuits against one another. Dad has hidden his assets in "his company". Although he didn't do it very well with still having son's name on vehicles. Also it was also too late for bankruptcy to clear it. You do that before your debt gets taken to court. Bankruptcy court can't over rule previous court money judgements.
