Generally AI stuff should be required to be labeled as AI and be subjected to copyright laws but unless something happens, to RU-vid's wallet specifically, they aint gonna care.
@@LittleLehStar Yea that's the best way to go about it honestly but the laws are always so slow trying to catch up with questionable technology. The techbro grifters then just take advantage of that sluggish speed and get what they can now before it becomes actually illegal.
I'm in IT and constantly see guys from 3rd world countries in Facebook groups doing the weirdest "hustler" AI stuff and try to get people to join/follow them. On Insta I get advertisement for these type of people to "follow their course and become a "AI content creator". The truth is that they use VPNs to create accounts in the US to get US advertisement income, while living in a 3rd world country, downloading the GPT video on their phone and re-upload it while using the local McDonald's WiFi. The only way to stop it (because it will get worse) would be to make youtube not free to upload anymore.... i dont think this is going to happen soon and the Gov will take years before they even understand how this works and once they create laws they will be outdated.
@@LittleLehStar Problem with that is you get into the grey area where people are trying to restrict free speech, it's a real can of worms. Sometimes we have to be responsible for our own common sense
@@PapillonOne no, mass dropshipping groups (typically) like Shien and Temu copy the designs of actual creators, selling fake versions at suspiciously low prices. Typically the original creator's images and video stills are used, sometimes with minor adjustments to hide the original identity. The faked clothing in question typically is very low quality, if the ordered item arrives at all. The original creators buy the fake clothing and make content of it, typically comparing it to the original piece. There's very little legal protection in the fashion world for this happening, so making content is about the only recourse they have.
Both RU-vid and Facebook protect these scammers at all costs. I’ve reported to both that posts are pretending to be someone else and every single time it’s rejected as a false claim, no matter how apparently fraudulent the story. They don’t care.
I got sucked into one of these type channels. Never subscribed and after a few videos I realized it was a scam. They would claim to be revealing something astonishing, and 25 minutes later they never got to the point.
Unfortunately there are stores too who protect scammers. I thing ebay is one of those, also some huge online store in my country. I wrote a lot of reviews unmasking the scams, and my reviews has always been rejected till I decided to avoid buying from, that store. It is a big store and the size offer some advantages, and there are few really good deals, but I will no longer support deceit. Also, this scam video looks like a lot of moronic stories that get stretched through many many pages full of flashy banners and advertising. I tortured myself through few of those stupidities just to see how deep they can dive in shit. But the format is easily recognizable, and I instantly fly away when I land on a page like that. Anyway, for sure there are scores of people who enjoy that. And who am I to deny to them the joy? As for stealing pictures, sure the steal is obvious, but this is a reality of being famous. So many famous actors have their faces in memes jokes and other thing without their consent. Morgan explained very well the fair use. And where do we draw the line for fair use?
Thank you Morgan. I’m so sorry for Alyson. I’m going to file a complaint for her. You put yourself out there for our viewing pleasure while she just wants a safe place and a warm space and a quiet afternoon. Her job is taxing in so many ways. I’m a retired nurse. This complaint is for her.
filing a complaint on someone-else's behalf, without them agreeing to it in the first place is nothing but virtue signalling. Only awful people do this. If she has a problem with it, she can do something about it. That's not your choice to make.
@@zarroth Sheesh!! @joellenpaul3294 was obviously meaning she was filing a complaint "in honor" of knowing Allison's need/desire for minimal screen time even in Morgan's real videos!! You people & your stupid virtue signaling judgments!! I filed a complaint as Morgan suggested it and I felt it should be complained about given the BS of these stupid story creators!! GOOGLE SUCKS & ENCOURAGES THIS CRAP! The best we can do is report it which I did as there was an appropriate category called counterfeit! I hope others will do the same as it only takes seconds & even though I am sure GOOGLE will not give up the revenue they get from all the extra ads they throw at us! BTW I also do note the ads of these sorts of scams and make a point of never buying the associated products!
@@zarroth I think just having the video up is making it subject to being reported as it is clearly faked content. I always report faked content - I'm an upper middle aged adult who's been on youtube since the beginning and I've seen quite a lot, especially farm videos so when I see something that is obviously fake I report it and so should everyone. THAT is how youtube cleans up the dregs. Unfortunately, the folks who create AI content will continue to do so because people watch it. I don't watch AI or even AI speech on real videos because that only encourages it. It's one thing to use it sparingly as a "voice" of your dog , once in a blue moon. If it's used throughout an entire video then it's too much. But, telling @joellenpaull3284 that it isn't her place is not nice. Maybe try taking a tact pill before saying something so rude again.
@@zarroth This isn't virtue signaling. Alyson expressed how she didn't like the video. Even if Alyson herself filed the report, RU-vid doesn't work that way. Unfortunately, as many other creators have shown, getting anything done requires a lawfirm or a bulk of people reporting problem content such that the automated system takes it down. As you can imagine, this is very much exploited. It shouldn't work that way but its also the only means a creator can protect themselves if they can't bring lawyers into things.
EDIT: After directly typing in the URL link shown at 0:15, it says "Video unavailable. This video is private." Not sure what happened to the channel itself though. I can't find that either. I think the video got removed. I can't seem to find it. Thank goodness!
@@kdtfiles1 There's a channel called UNITY that has nothing to do with this but that was the name of the channel on the video Morgan showed us. What channel name were you referring to that is "still there?"
I would be totally freaked out if someone was using my image and putting a fake story around it. That might be a generational difference: my generation still has some notions about personal ownership and privacy which have been thoroughly blown to smithereens by the internet. You're handling it much more calmly, and so is Allison (which surprised me, since she can rarely be coaxed into appearing in *your* videos!) Two notes about the sludge video you created: Better hope Pablo never learns how you slandered him and... I *love* the ducks-in-bikinis. Little tiny tutus!!
It's normal to be freaked out. This kind of thing shouldn't be normalized. I'm glad it was ONLY a cheesy farm video and not something much worse which also happens to prominent public women in particular. Such things chase good people away and they are right to run.
Your AI video is killing me! It's like one of those pictures from Highlights magazine where you try to find all the things that are wrong. I keep rewinding and finding even more!
Jail. Wow. 😂😂. And who else goes to jail in Angelas world? People who park in disabled spots? Teenage shoplifters perhaps? Oh wait- I know, people who beg for spare change in the street - now there’s someone really irritating amirite?
Nono, youtube earns top cash with putting 3 advertisements over A.I. generated content that only 10% of the audience seems to mind, because the rest barely catches on that it is fake content.
@@realcdn1Morgan explained fair use doctrine very well. I think it fits. You won’t get leverage trying to bully Morgan. He is a great story teller, a wonderful content creator and all in all, a good person. We don’t just watch his videos we are invested like a family (not $) this farm and every living thing on it is loved by hundreds of thousands of people. Go away bully boy.
Morgan, your parody of the sludge farm is utterly brilliant. You should release it as an effort to maybe it will make some people aware that those videos and what they do in thr most entertaining way possible.
They are not following YT policy when they upload content and do not anwser this question honestly. Altered content -Do any of the following describe your content? -Makes a real person appear to say or do something that they didn't say or do .Alters footage of a real event or place Generates a realistic-looking scene that didn't actually occur Yes No To follow RU-vid's policy, you're required to tell us if your content is altered or synthetic and seems real. This includes realistic sounds or visuals made with AI or other tools. Selecting 'Yes' adds a label to your content.
They should simply introduce a digital citation rule similar to when you write an essay. If you use someone elses content under fair use, it must include a citation on the image to the original content provider. The government should introduce a law that states if the citation is not included, the original content provider can claim plagiarism and have the video taken down.
This is actually a very common trend on RU-vid and ticktock that repurposes video and photos and creating a totally different story. About 10% of my RU-vid recommendations are this kind of stuff. Chinese making $$$ off RU-vid ads using content they don’t own.
Not to mention the fake "X of reddit" videos where they have an AI voice reading out some drivel story with looping 'satisfying video' clips in the background.
I love that in the written section they label you as elderly farmers....... I went to the site, couldn't find the video. I'll keep on it and if I find it, I will definitely report it for you. I did search and actually found one video when I searched using the word hen that had the same chicken and clutch of eggs as what is used in the one about you but the eggs were this turquoise color. Looks like they may have removed it! I LOVE your version! I'm hoping this one goes viral!
I like how the bad ai story you made to make fun of this actually sounds like something farm animals would write if they could. Just the “and then Toby saved the day because he is Toby. The end”
I've reported it as spam or misleading. Well done for showing us this. We all need to know this is happening everywhere now. I got clever and reported it on my mobile RU-vid and on😡😡😡
@@savedbelieverpeople don’t care that you’re warning them about a scammer. I’ve tried it many times on facebook and no one paid attention, even with multiple people saying it’s a scam. People are just gullible and believe anything on the net.
@@savedbeliever The sad part is that if you do make comments, even if they are not good, or if you click the thumbs down button, to RU-vid it is still views it as engagement and it gets them put on the algorithm even more. 😞
Wow - blast from the past! I haven't heard anyone mention Dead Kennedys since forever. BTW, your parody of AI Sludge was one of the funniest things I've ever seen on youtube.
It took me all of 10 seconds to recognize the awesome Dead Kennedys cap and pause to write a comment. Morgan brings the cool in so much that he does. Later edit: LOL to picnic table. And wow to all the additional cool Morgan brought in this video.
Not gonna lie, I very much appreciate that Tobydog takes his job so seriously that he took out a spambot that was trying to take over the world. I'm also very appreciative of Pablo's ability to sit on things. Keep up the good works boys.
The difference between what you and many others do and what Unity did is you use movie and video clips to make a point. Unity is using people's images and lives to make a whole new narrative. They are changing their names, the look of their homes/land, giving false info about them, and making AI versions of them in vulnerable situations.
That Sludge vid was hilariously awful! At least they didn't call the fictional chicken farmers Sam 'n' Ella, that would be slanderous. Good news is that it looks like they have unlisted that video. Your version of their content was much better!
OMG! I get Unity in my You Tube feed on occasion. I've watched a couple of their videos. I didn't like them just because they do go on and on and on. I'm not a very patient person. But now that I know, thanks to you, what they really are, I will never watch them again! Thanks, Morgan!
I actually saw the video about a week ago & it really pissed me off. I reported it as false information since impersonation did not seem to be one of the options. I LOVE your videos, Morgan, and I look forward to them. BTW, your BOT video portion was entertaining.
For the AI stuff: Artists are angry because the people who train the AI actually steal copyrighted images from artists. You can go as far as tell the AI to create an image in the style of a specific artist and it WILL do just that. And that artist never gave consent to use their style or the images they used to train the AI. Now people can just generate images with that artist's style and the artist loses their clients. I also hate how AI image generating is called 'art'. It is not an art. You as a person create nothing. It is a machine that works with millions of stolen copyrighted materials that does the work after you feed it some fancy words. AI art does NOT exist. AI image generating is what you want to call it. Which is founded on stolen copyrighted materials. I think everyone would be fine if: 1. They would just wipe the AI database and restart training with non-copyrighted images. Art sites should protect their artists as well, by making sure no sneaky-sneaky can be done with their database. 2. AI 'art' should be a term never used. Ai image/video generation should be the term associated with it. 3. AI image/video generated content should never be considered eligible for trade or copyright claims. Though, I myself am distraught that we are training AI to take away one aspect of being a human just to save some money for corporations... and arent using it to do some real good, making our jobs easier worldwide where it counts.
If it were just developed as a tool, that would be one thing - I can understand an argument for generators as a medium unto themselves. But largely, they're not used for that. They're used to replace human creative decisions rather than an as an extension of them. Human creative decisions are bellied in an individual's experiences and culture - every little choice is an expression of that individual. When you offload all of your creative decisions onto a generator, you lose the intention and purpose behind making something look a certain way. AI doesn't understand why an artist shades a certain way - it only knows that on average that is how they do it. When people use AI generated content, they do not care about that content. It's purely utilitarian. It's an image bereft of meaning aside from that which was literally transcribed into the generator, not even serving the purpose of bringing the joy of the process of creation to whoever made it. People that use generated content often don't recognize the difference in quality and social/cultural value of even the most silly little doodles. It just needs to look good and the rest doesn't matter. It misses the entire point of why the *humans* made the stuff the generators feed on.
*You can't fool us, Morgan, that hat is CLEARLY a runic signal for the other members of the Picnic Table Conspiracy's Black Egg Faction....* I mean I don't see why you can't have some fun with this, and I bet your buddy ALFRED could come up with some creative ideas to prank these SOBs if you ever track them down, Mr. Thompson of Clavicle Farm....
I don't think the video is a 'copyright' violation necessarily. But you might try going after them for the unauthorized use of your images (especially your faces) & photos for a commercial purpose. Not quite the same as copyright, but sort of.
You are truly a story teller Morgan. Love you AI story! Regretfully in this computerised world now smart, devious people will try to make a dollar anyway they can! Even companies like RU-vid will enable these "grubs" to keep making their pirate videos for innocent public to watch in the name of entertainment. Just keep being the good person you are to entertain all the other good people in this world.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention! I have found myself caught up in some stupid story not knowing what the heck are they trying to do? Unfortunatly it's alot of animal rescues.
The timing of an ad! You said something along the lines of, “if you’ve ever seen me use a movie clip to emphasize a point like this:” and an NFL commercial started playing. I was looking away so it took a sec to realize it was an ad and not the Harry Potter clip is should have been 😂
You're a genius, Morgan! You must release your animated creation! It would be interesting to see how many views it gets. You might find a second stream of income making animated stories!
Dang man, extremely entertaining!.. Laughed out loud at the original sludge video and at yours 😂 Sucks to be the target of something like that though. I've seen a "what happened to more than farmers" video about us. It was just dumb, but all the photos and stuff they pulled up about us was slightly disconcerting. Keep up the good work.. at least we know they won't be stealing your job anytime soon with pathetic content like that 😉"
as a digital and traditional artist i HATE AI.... but i do appreciate it as a tool for help. It definitely gives me better ideas for outfits for characters or character designs but it does indeed steal other peoples art. I think the other problem artists have with AI is that we're not ASKED if we wanna help train it, social media and people just take our shit without asking for it.
I love the hat! Pretty clear that Morgan was a real punk and not a poser back in the 80s. Who else would love for him to share photos of him back in his high school days i bet they are epic.
Your own sludge video mocking other sludge videos is hilarious! Seriously, you should make them a couple of times a year- for special occasions, maybe?
If I had actually seen the video or heard a small part of it I would've known right away. Gawd I feel so bad for Alison because I know she doesn't want to be in the videos. When she is I always love seeing her. I respect her feelings for not wanting to be in the videos. I would feel the same exact way. 😊 I'm glad she shared her reaction to the fake video. 😊 🎉 Thanks again Morgan and Alison for sharing this.
There are lots of AI generated video channels popping up. I've noticed at least 3-4 different channels show up in my recommended videos in the past several weeks.
