At this point in time, both of their "guarantees" don't mean crap because these companies make it so difficult for people to get compensated for mistakes they the companies made, it's almost as if Ebay and/or PSA hopes the person making the claim just gives up before having to pay out a penny. It's a really bad look that they can completely avoid by just doing not only what's right but what they said they'd do from the start. Disgusting business practice.

I reported 5 cards as fake that were obviously fake and Ebay comes back saying they reviewed them and saw nothing wrong. Ebay is completely incompetent.

I can’t even really blame the scammers. I mean,PSA calls themselves professional sports authenticators… They authentic and grade the cards,ultimately they should bear the brunt of the situation. Pay up! Like you said,they sure as hell never forget to upcharge your ass

my perspective is that i can see how difficult it would be just as me to catch scammers but id agree if psa is charging people saying they grade cards, grade the cards accurately or dont operate business imo

I bought 3 non-graded autographed cards (on card auto, original card was not signed but signed later by the player) on Ebay. I took a chance that they would be authentic. I used the dual service to get the autos and the cards graded. PSA graded them and authenticated them. If they were fakes that's not on me since I'm not an authenticator that's why I paid PSA to do that job.

I don’t understand how you could possibly authenticate a signature anyway. It’s just a written scribble. Unless you have a photograph of it being signed, how can you be sure it’s authentic?

I work for a card shop and we’re a PSA dealer…not a fan of them anymore nor do I believe they provide the best product. Unfortunately, they have the largest market cap and the most $ to throw around. People are invested in PSA and they don’t want their cards to go down, thus they continue to give PSA their business regardless of the headache/product.
