Thank you!!! Thank you!!!! Thank you!!!!! I had to watch this a few times, and I had to practice each step on my canvas, but I finally got it. YAyyyy!!!
Thank you so much for this video. I understand so much about my scanNcut now. It's so hard to get everything it can do. I can't wait to watch your other videos
Very good video! I just got my Scan N Cut this week. It is really wonderful, just have so much to learn. I don't really know where to begin. Hope you will keep making the videos. I want to make birthday cards and work with applique. Thanks again.
+Lyn Morissette Thank you, i have 160 videos on my RU-vid channel most of them relate to ScanNCut in one way or another, so I hope you will find more help and inspiration from them, some of the early ones have low sound quality to some people but not all. I will keep making the videos hopefully through 2016.
Ashley you mention if there are any things we would like to learn how to do - I really like the new concertina cards .there is a few dies around but very expensive - Im sure we should be able to make in Canvas - if we only knew how! I attempted a couple but didn't get the technique right at all! Tricky because the centre of the cut out shapes is attached top and bottom of the cut out section and they swing in and out when the card is opened and closed....Hope you understand which ones I'm referring to... I know your very busy and if you could manage this challenge I'm sure it would interest lots of members...
+Sonja Healey Hi, thank you glad it helped. I've owned electronic cutting machines for about 13 yrs so its things I've learnt along the way from playing.
Hi! I love your videos, they are so informative and you explain WHY things are happening, which is great! I'm following your instuructions and it worked once. I went to do it again and when I hit subtract the whole thing either disappears OR its still two pieces so it wont weld :(
Hi, glad you like them. Ok weld and subtract are two different functions. This is an old video so cannot remember what i showed. But think of subtract as like a punch or cookie cutter, the shape you want to punch out has to be on top of the other shape, if its not it will disappear, so you have to change the order of your shapes. Weld is when you join two or more shapes together for them to become attached as one or form another shape. Hope that makes sense
I'm trying to create a card with 3 windows and the word JOY. The word JOY will be centered between 2 Windows. The third window will beside JOY. How do I weld all together? I have tried to use the group function with the weld function to make this card. Help Please! Thanks
Hi sorry I don’t understand what you mean, but to weld anything together all the elements have to overlap. I have lots of videos on my RU-vid channel I am sure I will have covered what you are trying to do. I have them in playlist so there’s a playlist for doing things directly on the machine, there’s a playlist for doing things in canvas, etc thank you
+Martha Miller Yes just add another shape onto the frame and choose dashed line from the properties box, and SNC with dash that line only with the blade
+applelover53 Ive made a video showing how to add dashed lines in the past have a look in the "SNC Machine" playlist it should be in there, you can cut or draw the dashed lines as well
