Cub is just too nice and I dont think people has recognized it enough, he'd often help different hermits in the background and a lot of it is not even included in his videos. like even from the recent Hermit Permits, it was probably largely Grian's idea and Cub helped him a lot.
I know Scar probably wont see this comment but I have to say i felt bad when he spoke about not getting as many views because ppl where going to watch Grians video.....This probably isnt going to matter but I know when Scar and Grian have the same content within their videos I still make sure to watch both and tbh when I do only watch one of them Ive always chose Scars vids over Grians....So Scar just like you said previous to this....Dont over think it, we're all here for your content!!
I was playing this in the background when the chatter sent “Never forget the big dig” I swung my head around so fast and had to rewind 😂 wasn’t sure if I was imagining things 🫢
Scar my brother in law got hired as an imagineer a couple years ago, so he moved my sister and their whole family across the country to Florida for the opportunity, a year later they let him go along with tons of all the other high profile cast members. So I know exactly what you are saying
Imagineering has outsourced work to subcontractors for years. Hell, I assembled a bid for a work package in late 2018 for design and manufacturing that was being offered to a host of prop/costume/sfx houses in SoCal.
"I guess you can do poo" is so funny, i can't help picturing etho just staring at his keyboard the whole time scar is speaking tryna figure out which bad word scar had accidentally typed xD
I'm really tripping. I'm in Portland. I live in the same city as Scar! Yeay! I was here when that plane crashed back in 1978. It was about a mile from where we lived. Scary stuff. And a mile is really short when you are talking planes and crashes.
For those who struggle with dyslexia, coloured and lined overlays are super helpful especially from a young age. unfortunately the colours will change overtime but a common colour is green. some are blue and others are pink. It's really what ever keeps your eyes fixed to the page without trying.
Can confirm, as a dyslexic with bleed over into dyscalcula, I went into Linear Algebra armed with an entire rainbow of highlighters so I could stop flipping numbers and letters around. I have a little glass thingamajig with a colored strip that magnifies and highlights single lines so that I can concentrate on big paragraphs of text.
@@alexism.4259 Wow!! That's actually pretty cool!! I wish I had my diagnosis earlier in life, surely would have made better progress in my reading in writing. My brother and I use this software called MindView, we got it with a laptop provided by the government. It has text enlargement, overlays and guide lines and text to speech. It was super helpful in higher education where I'm scanning whole books in order to properly cite them in essays.
@@theforestofoak My partner was pretty lucky to get their English exam paper in green and any assignment paper while they were in school. sadly it is still pretty uncommon for schools to do this around where I live. Some school staff are usually stuck in the habit of being ablest, which isnt helped with funds constantly being cut.
my aunt has a special bookmark she uses to read things with small text it has multiple tabs that can be used to box in the words. she says it makes it easier to focus on just a few words at a time.
Characteristics to look for in fonts if you have dyslexia: sans serif (without serif; like Ariel, without extra decorations in the letter) non italic, non oblique (non kursiv, slanted) Monospace (every letter takes the same space) according to one site the best ones are: Ariel; Courier; Helvetica; Verdana. And then there are special ones like Dyslexie and OpenDyslexic. There are others that also work. Even if its controversial alot of people recommend comic sans espacially if you want write books.
I'm probably going to have to try and catch the next stream when it's live. Scar has such a relaxing voice and a truly wholesome personality, which creates such a great contrast with the utter madness of the Hermitcraft server's other inhabitants.
literally 45 seconds ago... this is what i get for my messed up sleep schedule. (also scar nobody will ever let the clown train go i promise you and also!! snail car must happen)
Hey Scar! Just wanted to let you know that while I started watching you again at the beginning of season 9 (I watched you as a kid before you joined hermitcraft, lol) I HAVE gone back and seen a lot of your old videos! Convex pranks, the giant snail, mayor Scar, I've loved seeing it all. Those fun moments aren't being forgotten!
I think the solution to the mending book problem could be to make mending acquirable in another dimension beyond the End/Nether. Players would have to defeat difficult mobs and a harsher environment to get mending and new gear, instead of just finding emeralds and buying infinite mending. Then Minecraft can remove buying mending from early-game villagers and make it a late-game high difficulty item (which players would need to survive for the harsh dimension)
there's always the chance we'll get a dimension we can go to through that giant ring in ancient cities. maybe, in a scenario where we get this, there'll be a bunch of new enemies and dungeons that give you pieces to create a key that guarantees you get a mending book, among other good rewards (probably an extra mace, good armor, netherite scrap, etc.). I do agree minecraft makes it far too easy to get mending and I feel this would be a great alternate
Actually what if they made a way to remove randomness from enchants if you reached end game? It could be that some enchants can be gained "guaranteed" if you go to specific temples/locations that is in the end. And make it farmable but in a way which is very difficult and only for end game, so we incentivize the more challenging and fun way. Lore wise it could also make sense, villagers have gone to these places and gained the knowledge from these gods and now is able to trade these special items to the players.
I definitely have a small amount of hermits that i watch every single video of even if their videos are the same. I had been watching grian before he even joined hc and as soon as I saw scar in hc s6 i started watching every episode of his! Now that I have all the time on my hands I plan on going back and watching seasons prior to s6 as well as more povs.
I know most people enjoy streams with music but as someone with hearing loss on one ear which makes it particularly hard to hear talking when there is background noise I really really love the stream without music, it is soooo nice ❤️
I love that Redstone hangout streams have become a thing since decked out It sucks that Disney is doing parks dirty because they can't cobble together a decent move or a show, let alone the losses from the money sink known as Disney+
I think mending is great for a casual player. I am a single parent with a full time job, and I can sometimes only carve out 3-4 hours a week to play. If I die and lose all my stuff or break a pick I've poured levels into, it's not a simple matter to get back to my projects, and it can be very frustrating.
I recently went down to Texas for a family reunion and got to go to a Train museum that has a Big Boy train on display. It was huge!!! If you get the chance Frisco, Texas has a pretty good train museum.
You’re absolutely right about Disney and the nickle and diming! My family and I used to go to Disneyland fairly frequently (like maybe every couple years) and we haven’t been for quite a lot longer than that now and it really frustrates my parents bc they remember when Disney was a place you had to buy tickets for individual rides inside, and then it switching to be so expensive to get in but all rides included and fast passes being free (I remember them switching that and being annoyed). It makes my family not want to go, not bc they couldn’t maybe afford that extra money, but bc the allure of Disney is that it’s not a place that nickel and dimes you, it is supposed to be an expensive ticket price but otherwise you could theoretically go without spending money. And the portions used to be giant! I can’t imagine ppl are thrilled with them being smaller when you’re hungry from walking all over the park and being in the sun AND they charge so much for food
I love that because Tango is on vacation instead of getting someone like mumbo or cub to help him, he got the hermit who uses Redstone for decoration which might be Tango's biggest pet peeves 😅
everyone commenting about old Scar content made me think back first discovering him shortly after I started playing minecraft. I wanted to learn how to build so I watched and followed a multi-part tutorial of his, love seeing how far everything has come :)
I am not sure it's about being unfettered. Somethings I get due to inflation but Disney doesn't have much in way of competition. Universal and Six Flags but overall, Disney has been able to get away with near anything. They need to be hit in the wallet more
My only not at all serious complaint is that these vods are never long enough. I love your stream content so much. Never know what to expect, and listening to you talk about your interests is a fave of mine.
streams are so great and this one had streams being built on stream which is such a wonderful thing! as someone who lives in the land of the FL mouse, back in 2012-13, fast pass was that little machine that spat out a paper ticket that said something like "come back between x & y time" and so you could easily get four of those staggered for different rides and go ride them. and do that over and over for each ride multiple times a day (i think my friend and i did it like 5 or 6 times for Space Mt). went 2 or 3yrs later with a friend's family, that was gone and it was bracelets (i didn't have one) and then still "free fast pass machines" but they'd changed it so you could only do for each ride once per day. Now it's all paid, but so is Universal's fast pass and universal did paid fast passes first if i remember correctly. Sea World has fast pass but i've never used it so i'm not quite sure how it works, but it is also paid. by far the cruelest thing any of them have done is started charging per hour for the lockers. as a kid, Sea World didn't have lockers, just bins at the start of the rides near the tracks, and the other parks (RIP the best one Cypress Gardens was 10/10) had lockers but it was idk five/ten bucks for the WhoLe day, not almost 5$ an hour :(
I agree with Etho, villagers need rebalancing. my world has the experimental rebalancing with villagers in a large biomes world, and the hike to go 4000 blocks to a swamp to get mending makes it feel much more like an adventure
Sounds like a pointless grind to run around and find the exact villager for the thing you need. So impractical. But they do need to nerf them, but not like this. And they need to make the enchanting table more consistent or add the ability to narrow down enchantments
I've also been playing with the 1.21 experimental villagers and I've really enjoyed it! I didn't think I would, so I was surprised that in practise it's actually better (for me at least).
It’s also made me use the nether more since I’m using it as a hub between biomes. In general I’ve really enjoyed the rebalance and I was hesitant about it at first.
Hiya! It's beautiful outside today. I watched the sun come up over the gorge. That kind of special time is what I get when I hear your laughter, and see your smile. Thank you for being such a wonderful person, and for sharing time here in this video. I hope you know your loved my friend.
ice USED to make items go faster but that was before the items could float on water. before, the item entities would never float and thats why the ice made it go faster, but now the items float and do not touch the ice so the block underneath doesnt matter.
I went to disneyland paris recently on a school trip and I was lucky enough to have a priority pass because of my disability but for some rides I waited in the normal queue because I was with a big group and couldn't take all of them through with me on my pass, but wow, having to do that for every ride while trying to fit everything that I wanted to do in, I don't think I'd have managed it. for small kids especially, they'd be exhausted
Hey Scar! You could totally add a Nether Portal at the back of the Train death tunnel. It would be kind of cool like the train has driven through the nether portal like in the create mod.
I feel you with the disney stuff. I think the worst part is with all that money they throw away into Disney+ they're somehow surprised that all of their endeavors there fail despite them not actually allowing any of the creatives working on the show to... yknow, create. Instead it's just a bunch of execs making all the creative choices and doing a poor job because they don't know what they're talking about and are out of touch with what people would actually enjoy. All the new shows and movies lack real heart or enthusiasm for the story they're telling bc the people in charge of running them only want to make the "safe" story choices
I am one of those people who have watched all of your previous seasons(hermitcraft and life series) and have enjoyed them all. I discovered hermitcraft in S9. Thank you for the awesome content. Lots of love ❤❤
About enchantments and villagers, i believe they should implement a reading system where you either buy certain words which can later on be combined with other words(which can be in the form of scrolls) that is dropped from bosses or even fished, and they could also add maybe wizard villagers that you either have to kill or give items or emeralds to to upgrade the enchantment, and the enchantment should not be random when you try to enchant an item, instead what ever you learned can be used directly, i know that would be a major change but i feel it could be more fun to explore the world to get enchainments. (Wizard villagers can be in all biomes or even the nether for example to get fire resistance enchantments)
oh my god, I'm not even joking, I've had this SAME idea for years. you have no idea how cathartic it feels to finally see someone who's inadvertently come up with the same fix to enchanting that I've been championing for years
55:30 Have either of you seen the new experimental villager trading? It makes it so not every librarian can sell every book. They made it so that certain enchantments are only sold by a villager from a certain biome. (Desert Villagers are the only ones that can sell efficiency, Snow for silk touch, etc)
I personally can tell you that when i discovered Hermitcraft, yall were already at seadon 8, midway through season 8 at that. and i refused to watch it before watching the other seasons. And well, since I used to only watch Grian, the first season that i watched was season 6, but if i had the time, i would watch all the seasons (i just dont have the time sadly. I also would love to watch all the hermits but again, the lack of time is an enemy)
2:10:41 it's a bug with tweakeroo's freecam where when the camera is inside or looking through blocks, entities get visibly culled (not rendered) You were just inside the wall, so inside a block. Unlike with spectator mode which doesn't do that entity culling I believe.
I have been diagnosed with dyslexia from a young age. I definitely use a bunch of weird tricks to do things when wrighting or doing math. But for some reason im really good at math even through i failed math classes multiple times. Things like looking at a pallet of boxes an telling you how many, percentages, or even much much yards of dirt to buy for fill
When Scar said "not a clown within a thousand meters," my first thought was: "But you're within a thousand meters of it,". I don't actually think Scar is a clown but it was objectively the funniest thing I could have thought at the time.
