Finding that the scar h is actually a new player friendly gun with a bit of practice. Because it can do something that very few other guns can do. Sometimes you can only land a couple hits on an enemy due to them being quick to hide or your aim lacking. Most of the time with other guns, you'll tag them a couple times then get an assist later. With the scar's high damage, 2 hits is the majority of a players health, crippling them. And with only 2 hits, you will get an assist counted as a kill, 9 out of 10 times.
@@MrPetreks Though worth noting an ak15 can't 3 shot full health with medium armor. But the scar can. Though most of the time you won't face armored opponents. But still makes enough of a difference at times. The extra 40 rpm of the ak15 isn't enough of an advantage. Think about it, the average fire fight between two people is less than 1 second. 40 rpm is less than a bullet per second. You won't even get an extra shot off with 40 more rpm, and the time to kill difference is minimal. But 1 less bullet to kill against armor would make all the difference.
@@g0dlypenguin51 True you could. But if you do that, you're sacrificing a good bit of accuracy. So if your goal is to 3 shot armored players, then the scar will do the same as the ak15 but with better accuracy. So in my mind that still makes it the better choice.
Just as you said, and i got my vert recoil down to around 1.3, horizontal 1.9 give or take a little if its supressed which also helps, and with a quick mag(havnt got large mag yet) its very funti9nal
I personally think they should buff extended mags. They offer like 10 bullets for 5 OR MORE disadvantages. No one picks extended, everyone picks quick, i think the extended mag should reduce vertical recoil as the weapon is now heavier, and usually the heavier the gun the lower the recoil. I think people would have a harder time choosing between the two if they added something as simple as that.
What's weird is that they hit every single stat that doesn't make sense, and one that does. V and H Recoil? That's not how it works, and a game with Milsim roots should reflect that. Running speed? Yeah that makes sense, bullets are heavy.
I personally just prefer the feeling of heavier assault rifles in the game. It's just so much satisfying downing people with the SCAR or AK15 compared to M4A1 or AK47
After 100 hours in Battlebit, SCAR-H is my gun of choice, and the one I have the most amount of kills with. It's incredibly versatile, extremely strong at medium ranges, and very capable at short and long ranges.
The SCAR is my go to mid-range AR for Medic/Engy when I'm not using the Groza currently. I run the exact same build after trial and error that you recommend. You did a great job of putting into words why I can be so hot and cold on it at times, all comes down to when I'm hitting those shots vs letting the h.recoil get the best of me. Great video as always.
I was thinking about buying a scar15p on a credit card but i figured id regret it because the.atf would rape me financially even more just to gey it close to what it shoulda been in tbe curreny hyper regulated 1984 666 economy
Scarh is my favorite ar when using engineer, I have over 200 kills on it in about 20 hours and i don't plan on stopping with it unless they do something catastrophic to it
Just unlocked the Scar-H recently, and it reminds of my Planetside NC Combat Medic days. It just feels right, and in the hands of the assault class, it works like a charm, since the reload buff makes you have far better up time. Do recommend taking small ammo kit if not on a grapple map though.
The scar is a nice change of pace from the Ak 15! Although meta weapons may feel the best for efficiency. It’s the off meta one like the scar or honey badger that gives a great change of pace.
just wanna say, the effort you put into these videos is phenomenal. i wanna give particular shoutouts to the playstyle section. a lot of people dont understand the concept of adjusting your playstyle and just want to click heads; a valid way to enjoy the game of course, but a lot changes when you consider how to play around your gun's archetype and you do such an excellent job of portraying that info. thanks for your work!
The slip scope is fantastic on this gun. It gives you that little bit of extra range over the other medics, without over encouraging you to shoot at things beyond the scar's effective range. Personally, I think if you aren't using a 2-3x optic on the scar, you'd be better off just using the ak15 or groza. And I prefer canted red dots over top mounted cuz of the vide 😂 Still, great video!
Just unlocked this weapon and my K/D jumped like crazy! There were so many times where the M4 wouldn't cut it and the AK15 was a bit too inaccurate, but this gun feels like the perfect balance.
I tend to use the scar H when playing as a medic and supporting a group of recon players. I usually run a 4x mid range scope with a dot on top. I feel it helps me identify players, and line up shots when cover is involved, and the dot is there if I am up close.
This thing with a slip sight is a better DMR than most of the DMRs I've used so far, especially when you set it to single fire. Top sights are such a godsend
It's one of my favorite AR. I loved the AK15 when I began to play, so the scar is kinda familiar. I play with both, and it really depends on the map/mode.
Same here. It’s literally the only two guns I’ve been using. I’ve tried others but it just doesn’t fit my play style. I have 1000 kills with ak15, 1500 with scar and the next best gun is under 50 kills .
Really good SCAR-H review. Really got all the points in this video. Great gun too, my go to gun right now, really enjoy it. I also disagree about using it as a counter sniper at medium ranges. It can easily be used to counter snipers out to 400m if you can aim it correctly. I use an ACOG with a top mount red dot. Works really well. Just need to hit those shots to keep snipers from getting a good aim on you.
Going from an SMG to the SCAR feels exactly like going from TR to NC for the first time. Gun feels great, but definitely took a while to get used to since the fire rate isn’t as high as I was used to.
its good. can be used like an assault rifle with red dot and itll drop people quick. a 4x scope and semi auto and its a DMR that will double tap players to the head. if it had the *velocity* of the other .30 caliber guns (7.62x51NATO/7.62x54R) it might be the best gun in the game since the H variant is a .308 which is more powerful than both 7.62x51 (l96a1) 7.62x54R (SV-98) and i can FEEL the difference in velocities when going between the guns.
Being a SCAR-H main. I find better use with using a medium scope and firing semi-auto for medium to long range combat. I find my play style better with it. Having its high damage to help with slow, but consistent hits to easily take down anything from the support class to medics
Thx for another great video. Regarding the DMR place in Battlebit though... I think people are sleeping on those guns. They are not easy to pick up, sure... They don't give you the "OMG WHAT IS THIS GUN ?" a Vector does, nor does it give you the familiar taste of the AK or M4 ... But I switched to the EBR a few days ago, for nostalgia sake ... And after learning the weapon quirks ... It is at this moment my favorite weapon to use. And it all boils down to consistency and versatility. It does perform average, sure... But it does it at almost every range. It means that wherever I am on the field (I tend to play mostly 64 vs 64 conquest)... I can theoretically deal with anything that comes my way. And that feeling of being as confident when entering a building to clear it out as you are when lurking on the top floor looking for some sniping duels ... Well it is pretty neat ! And the EBR might be the only rifle to allows that.
You should try the m110 with long barrel. It does everything you can ask from a dmr but with two shot kills in 90% of the situations. It can even defend you in a cqb if you know where is the enemy coming from
With the low rate of fire it is easier to control the burstfire, in reverse the horizontal kick is not a problem. With the high DMG output you also cause something. This gun feels so satisfying.
I really like the Scar-H. After playing medic and literally unlocking every attachment on both the starting AK-74 and M4A1, I decided to try out every other assault rifle I have unlocked up to this point (rank 100) and between all of them, Scar-H is by far my favourite.
I'm addicted to this gun with the SLLP and heavy silencer. A little bit of zoom and whisper quiet damage at any normal combat range is unbeatable for me. Quick mag is a necessity though and I prefer the grip that gives better aim down and reload speed. Tap heads.
A single hit from this thing is to be respected. This is one of the earliest guns that is absurdly effective when fired in bursts or singles. Just one hit from it drops enemy health by more than a 3rd. Two effectively put them out of the fight in need of heals or bandaging. Hitting without finishing cripples the target, it's like a soft kill.
I'm running a scar with an Acog and a red dot top sight, and it is an absolute beast out to 150m. Just got to be careful about getting in close with all the SMG's.
You should try an m110 with heavy/long barrel. It sits right at your spot while featuring 2 shot kill on the vast majority of the targets. That's the only dmr that actually works
SCAR is not a bad weapon, it's quite good however it's outshined by Groza and AK15, FAL too. All 3 of those guns have higher delete power at the ranges that matter. AK15 for instance has bigger mag and higher RoF. 45 round magazine while a nerf to some stats is super helpful given that it's extremely common that you get pushed by 2-3 enemies. SCAR is not a replacement for DMR's like M110, because it 2 shots.
Also the scar h is the dmr variant of the rifle. The original rifle fired 5.56 not 7.62. It was designed to have the upper receiver replaced with a larger caliber an heavier barrel. The only part of a firearm considered a firearm is the lower receiver. That’s where the mag well trigger an trigger housing are.
The SCAR-H assault rifle in Battle Bit Remastered is known for its high damage per shot, making it one of the most powerful automatic weapons in the game. It has a maximum damage of 42 and a minimum damage of 14.7, with a range of 151 to 299 meters. However, it is important to note that the SCAR-H has a slower fire rate compared to other assault rifles. It fires at a rate of 500 rounds per minute or 8.33 rounds per second. In terms of the video review layout, it will cover the weapon's stats, pros and cons, tips and tricks for using the SCAR-H effectively in combat, and attachment options to enhance its performance. The information for this review was gathered with the help of the community member named Oxygen, who provided valuable tools and statistical data.
Reload time is key, which is why I love the M249. Not because it reloads faster(it is much slower), but it has enough rounds in a magazine to kill everyone in a squad/group 95% of the time. Reload time matters not when your gun has enough bullets in it to not need to reload mid sortie.
I dont like the SCAR-H, just doesnt fit my style. But I do see lots of people misusing it as the better DMR Edit: Turns out I was just using it wrong, this thing destroys everything on sight within medium range.
the scar is the best dmr in game, if you like doing 2 shot bursts or tap firing maybe the attachment that reduces first shot kick is good plus a long barrel could be good
(me, a REALLY old Planetside 2 veteran of The NC faction) "...ah... you were at my side... all along." (grabs his new -NC1 gauss rifle- SCARH) my true mentor...my guiding moonlight. side note: if/when they give us the m60...ohboi
Came here after trying to make the SCAR work with an ACOG since that's what makes it the coolest looking. Sadly that looks to not be what's best, and I will be reverting to a reflex sight next time I play.
The FAL is way more jumpy with horizontal recoil. I just cant seem to land 2 shots in a row just tapping. But with the Scar I can tap tap and the bullets hit the target. But if I tap tap on fal my 2nd shot just jump way over to left or right. Same with the P90 great gun, just the jumpy horizontal recoil kills it for me to use. Feels random pattern on Fal / P90. But with the scar it feel low recoil probably because the rate of fire is so slow that I am able to adjust my aim mid burst better then the higher rate of fire guns like the Fal and AK15 where I can't make micro adjustments as much becuase of that higher rate of fire. Oh also being only 20 rounds with a quick mag, you can combine the mags so fast that this gun makes it so user friendly.
After finally unlocking the Vector I used it for awhile, but my aim is too crappy for how quickly it empties the magazine. I then tried the SCAR-H and it just feels a lot better to me. I perform better with it than the Vector.
Best pistol: the Kriss vector Best SMG: the Kriss vector Best rifle: the kriss vector Best sniper: the Kriss vector Best rocket launcher: the kriss vector Best grenade: the kriss vector Best vehicle: the kriss vector Best helicopter: the kriss vector Best map: the kriss vector
I unlocked this gun today and got my first 50+ kill game. It absolutely shreds! Then I unlocked the Groza 5 levels later and... Yeah. In other news, loving the video series. Is there any way you can include details of body shot head shot into TTK? What I mean is with vertical recoil it's pretty common to hit the body with your first shot then headshot your second shot. It makes a pretty big difference to the viability of a gun.
I use it with vertical grip and tactical. M125 scope with top mount. But really any scope would do. Whatever u like. And the quick mag ofc. The extended has to slow of a reload.
I like the scar for mid an long range, but sometimes its difficult to aim in a fast short range fight, because of the heavy recoil and the liw firerate
The Scar-H is one of the favorites so far. I have yet to reach high levels so i don't have much to compare it to, but it outdoes all other AR's and DMR's so far xD
After more than 1000 kills with this thing, I recommend reducing the vertical recoil as much as possible and not worry about the horizontal. Vert grip and tactical muzzle. Either red dot or strikefire sight is my preference.
ScarH is more of an all rounder in bbr. It deals good dmg mid close range. it’s not a match against those 1200 rpm vectors and scorpions at close range.
I got my first levels on the AK74, I tought the M4 was real scrubby wep, so I wanted to be an AK beast. I switched to AK15 loved it, then tried the scar and found out its just an ak15 clone with 2 more damage and less ads. Loved it.
I'd say the SCAR is a precision high damage battle rifle that you probably don't want to take into a building full of SMG users. The AK15 is a high damage rifle that you probably don't want to use at range much, but would be quite comfortable taking into a building full of smgs
Here's why damage is critical: The first bullet shot warns the enemy of your presence. That's why SCAR-H is the best weapon in Battlebit, together with FAL and AK15. SCAR-H has far less recoil than AK15 due to slower fire rate, which makes it much more efficient on larger distances, despite having similar falloff to AK15. FAL has a little less damage per bullet. Therefore SCAR-H is the best.
No, i would argue that scar is actually one of the worst heavy hitting rifles (40+), in both dmrs and assault rifle categories. It feels like it has higher recoil than ak 15 or fal, and it definitely has higher recoil than mk14, while having the same fire rate and dmg. M110 is a two shot, and same recoil, and mk20 has a lot lower recoil, and is also three shot, though they are semi auto. If you look at it as an individual rifle then yes, it is decent, but when you start comparing you will see that it is the worst.
The Scar is so criminally over hated in my opinion. Like you said it's by no means "meta" but it is definitely better than over half the guns in the game. The only real negative is the tiny magazine, but it really hits like a truck sometimes and off sets the small magazine. Just have to have good aim for it to be good imo
The scar is just a dmr that doesn't suck in close range I love hunting snipers with it xd. I use a mid range a red dot, quick mag, reload grip and rangefinder. I've gotten a 630 meter kill don't nock the rangefinder lol
It's fire rate is too low to be competitive vs the meta I found, fire rate is more important due to net code, AK12 is same damage and higher ROF with the same recoil stats.
I just hit 1600 kills on mine today only thing I enjoy after 110 levels. Build reddot, se5 grip, tactical barrel.. no mag or lasers, the negative stats for these aren’t worth it imo
I'm always a fan of the SCAR in basically any game - and I'm really glad Battlebit's no different. Was a handful of weapons I was looking forward to when I started. SCAR, M14 EBR, and Kriss Vector at the top of the list... SCAR is the one that's felt most like the SCAR that I think of - the M14's performance is pretty satisfactory but its audio is sooooooo pathetic compared to the meaty audio of say the M14 in Killing Floor 2 - oddly enough the one I'm most disappointed in is the Kriss Vector lol. Don't get me wrong it's a very good weapon in the game, but it just doesn't feel at all like the Kriss Vector - the recoil and shot pattern is entirely unlike the performance I'm more familiar with - the fairly unique and characteristic performance of the weapon =/
tbh Scar H isnt an assault rifle. Its a battle rifle (slower fire rate, bigger bullets => hits harder). Scar L would be an assault rifle if its in the game.
I'll counter-snipe with this thing all day long, 34 damage at 200 meters is plenty against squishy little recon femboys, and getting within that range on pretty much any of these maps is super easy. Past that range, movement is enough to throw off most sniper's aim. If they're cracked then you're just fucked you probably can't even counter snipe them before they headshot you.
its not sooo good for a potato laptop so a 4x actually works on quite some maps! Since you won't have the pixels in a 1x to find those heads beyond some meters so I say it's a solid option. BUT it's a hard gun to play in the regard.
