Just did it. Was a lot of fun. Not as good looking as yours but I didn't have very many brushes. Hopfully get more and do better next time. Thank you so much for this easy to follow tutorial. You rock.

Going for it this year, I LOVE SCAR!! and you just made him come to life. How much are the paint and brushes all together would you say? And do you think using pure white around the mouth area would still look fine? And if I mess up on an area how would I correct it?

Just did this today for work. I work with mentally disabled adults who watch tons of Disney and this look was a HUGE hit. You helped to make their Halloween really special. Quite a few of the staff even told me they thought it was a mask at first! I couldn't get my brush strokes quite as perfect as those awesome tapering strokes you can do, though. It'll probably take years of practice until I can get anywhere near the level of control of your brush strokes. Thanks for sharing your trade so freely and being so inspiring. Maybe next year I'll do Jafar haha. I mean Bwa ha ha ha ha!

I can't wait until I get the same level of brush control that you have. I can still only get a perfect, sharp, tapered brush stroke where I want it about a third of the time. Also does the way you taper your brush strokes and decide where to go thick/thin come entirely from your experience as a makeup artist or do you have a traditional drawing/painting background as well? It wasn't until after many years of drawing that I was able to have that same sleek linework on paper (on faces is another story though haha), so I'm curious if you were able to pick up that ability entirely from makeup or not. Really incredible result btw. I'd never someone paint a non-human Disney face like that in makeup before and have the result so visually striking. Fantastic work. You've opened my mind to all kinds of new exciting makeup projects. Very inspiring video. Subbed for sure! Also loving the look of Paradise makeup's products, appreciate the lead. Yikes just once I'd like to write a comment that doesn't turn into an essay, ugh

What would you recommend for a face paint which is rather thick in consistency? It needs either a base or to be mixed with something. It's non toxic which is what I but as it is it's so thick even with the applicators it doesn't go on right. Ie, the white paint is to me like cream cheese as to paint. There's nothing on the site about this issue. This is for beloved black metal btw...

It sounds like you are using an oil/cream based paint. You need to make sure it's water based and then you just add more water to thin it out.

If I did this for my play coming one half of my face would be like "Oh heck yes I'm good at this yessss" but the other side would look like a 5 year old drew on my face with crayola.
