I studied English at The Europa School English four months in 1978. I really love this English town. We used to go to a Spanish Pub, The owner, a Spaniard, he always gave snacks like salty peanuts and olives. He asked for Mexican music, mariachi band to play them on his tape recorder. My host was a nice family Who lived at 33 Rothbury Street, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. I miss Janice, Carol and Craig. Hope they are all fine. Scarborough it is always in my mind. People are good friends. Oh, my English Teacher, such an excellent English man. He did The best with me. Thank you David wherever you are.
Jacek, I live in Scarborough and just want to congratulate you on some great shots. I may be a little biased but you did have a wonderful subject to work with. Thanks.
Lovely place, never been definitely will have to take a trip to see this wonderful seaside town after seeing this amazing video. Thank you so much for sharing this. Cheers. Andy. Scotland.
Every year for my holiday my grandparents took me to primrose valley (not far away) and we went to Scarborough for a day. I loved those holidays glad to see it hasn’t changed much
I am born and bred in Scarborough, and would ask people who visit our town to take their litter home with them and dont leave it on the beach , and do not feed the seagulls. Thank-you.
We don't need to feed them they are quite capable of stealing it themselves😂so watch ya heads and children in buggies. I'd ask everyone to take there rubbish and dump it properly. It frustrates me seeing dog mess in bags in all the hedges! Smh I'd rather they left it to biodegrade than do that.
Not advisable to walk whilst eating, I learnt that the hard way 😂 but I imagine they are all on diets right now as no fish and chip shops open for people to feed them with xx
This brings the memory of my trip to Scarborough from Hull. It was spring in 1997 and I went for a walk at a ruin on the hills and eventually stumbled upon a cemetery and guess what...one of the Bronte's sister was laid to rest there. The wind was strong but it was worth it.❤
1960s /1970s it was my childhood holiday resort ,went back for my60 th ,sat by the harbour tears running down my face the memories were that beautfull.
Lovely town. Lots of happy memories from family holidays here. I worry about the businesses, hotels, b&b's and arcades surviving being shut down. Really hope everything can re open again soon and go back to normal 😕
Don't know much about life and cities in England this look nice and quit as I grew up in the cost missing the sea side looks lovely this looks very similar to county wicklow
We spent every Summer in Scarborough when my children were little. They loved peasholme park and kinderland. We were hoping to get back there this year. Sadly due to the current situation it is not going to happen. Fingers crossed we will be there next year 😊😊.
Our first real travel outside of the greater London area during the pandemic. Enjoying every minute of it so far. Watch out for our footage of this lovely Yorkshire town.
Hello. My 11 yrs old daughter is making her own MV just for fun. She is wondering if she could use some views in this video as her video background for the song Scarborough Fair? Thank you very much!
