One of the things I love about this scene is although the pressure gets turned up after finding out Omar is an informant, and Sosa starts asking about Franks judgement, Tony could’ve bad mouthed frank and cut him out. But he stood up for him and defended his judgement. I’d like to think that Sosa picked up on that
@welshtoro3256
@welshtoro3256 9 месяцев назад
Good comment. Sosa picked up on it and admired his loyalty. He also admired how Tony had his own doubts and knew Frank's organisation was not up to scratch. "I'll sort things out" was Tony's way of saying if Frank doesn't change I'll take over and Sosa understood. It's a brilliant scene.

I suspect Sosa was more planting the idea in Tony's head that he could - and should - take over. Frank was reluctant to buy from Sosa, meaning to get a reliable new customer, Sosa had to somehow manipulate Tony into replacing Frank.

What makes Tony such an amazing character is that his greatest strengths are also his greatest weaknesses. His boldness, his honesty, his fiery personality, his absolute and unwavering belief in himself. From the start, Tony knew he had what it takes to excel in the most dangerous and deadly situations. All this made him a millionaire and drug kingpin. It also led to his addiction to cocaine, his loveless marriage, and eventually his downfall and death. Tony is a perfect example of what can happen when someone truly believes in themselves... for better and for worse.

That's because Tony killed one of Sosa's Main Men. That man had planted a Bomb in a Car, that had a Snitch in it. However, it also had the Snitch's Wife and Children in it, too, so Tony tried to get the Bomb Man to hold off from killing everybody inside the Targeted Car. When the Bomb Man had the Remote turned on, and absolutely wouldn't stop on his own, Tony intervened, by pulling his Pistol, and killing the Bomb Man. That was the last straw! Sosa ordered Tony Montana's immediate execution. As far as I'm concerned, though, the guy that killed Tony Montana from behind, a guy named Skull, committed a complete act of cowardice, by shooting Tony in the back. The other Assassins, that were shooting from the stairs, and from the front living room. They at least had the guts to shoot, facing Tony!!!!
@allwecanseeisaboveusnow
