27:49 the concept of knowing you’re being watched/chased but seeing nothing is so interesting, it really fits the idea of the backrooms where everything is “normal” or kind of plain but you still know something is off. TBH I wasn’t a fan of the monster in this, too loud and too much of the mangled/deformed human monster trope, I liked the monster in Kane’s backrooms footage because it was really alien like but didn’t like that they showed it off, especially the long full body shot at the end, you know? It’s what Local 58 and Mandela Catalogue do so well, unease and fear that never ends because they never show the threat and allow you to get over it I LOVED the original backrooms, stuff the no-clipping concept, 300 million square miles, but the ideas and works around it now seem too official/big if that makes sense, too fleshed out and kind of fantasy-ish instead of that mysterious, supernatural vibe. It’s what turns me away from modern SCP stuff, the community and collaboration is amazing, but it seems disconnected from the original ideas, that it was supposed to be kind of real and potentially existing IRL instead of the fantasy/completely fictitious story vibe it has nowadays
