I was playing solo queue Survivor late at night when I went against a really scary Huntress player with some wildly unpredictable shots. It even turned out to be someone we know! Watch live: / otzdarva Join our community: / discord
Thank you, this game was a lot of fun. To the people who say I have 0 kills: I wasn't going for kills, just trying to have fun. To the people who say I am a cheater: Thanks for the compliment.
Yeah, if the killer sends themselves there, they're 100% some ranged nightmare (or a Billy, which also somewhat qualifies as a ranged nightmare). I don't think a lot of other killers fare well on that map
this is the closest I've ever seen anyone play a killer like a movie monster and actually do really good, it's like getting immersed by being an incredibly deadly threat without the characters needing to be idiots with two left feet
@@Lestrangest Cause the game should measure success based on hooks and not kills, even the lore of game is set up that the entity enjoys it more when survivors barely make it out. And the OP is right, he played it like a horror movie killer which is how the game was originally intended to be kinda, clearly steered away from that direction long ago sadly. And dude clearly had opportunities to tunnel people out but chose not to in spirit of game. Respect.
And the 10% he misses are when Otz ducks at the right moment, some obstacle happened to be in the way or Otz stopped just at the right second for the hatchet to fly millimeters past his face.
For people that are adamant that cheating was involved, I don't personally think there was. At the very least, the Huntress is playing very much like they're legit. Notice how so many of the hatchets are being thrown at gens (at spots where survivors could be working on gens) and hitting no one. Otz made a mistake in this game: he thought she could see his aura when she threw a hatchet at him. However, in a lot of these situations, she wasn't using her hatchets to hit survivors she could see, she was using them to check if there was a survivor there in the first place. She had Iron Maiden so she could reload super fast, and Infantry Belt so she didn't need to reload as often, just so she could be constantly firing these information hatchets at all the gens all game long. Like at 1:09, Otz ran away because he assumed she could see him. However, she had no idea there was a survivor there. She aimed at the gen aura in a way that would hit a survivor working on the gen (to check if there was a survivor working on the gen). It missed him (because he got off the gen at the right time), and then she didn't approach that gen and never fired a follow-up hatchet, because she believed no one was there (since her hatchet didn't hit anyone). I believe Otz should have stuck that gen after dodging her "survivor check" hatchet. Of course, that's hindsight. Thinking she could see him would normally make sense, because normally a huntress doesn't have the time or hatchets to just be randomly spamming them around the map like some kind of hatchet Gatling gun. The Huntress also tricked him into thinking this way (that she's using aura perks and can see him) by very openly broadcasting the fact she had Lethal Pursuer at the start of the game. It was this specific combination of perks and add-ons that allowed the Huntress to employ this strategy, and its unusual nature was clearly pretty effective at misleading the survivors into making misplays.
While the perks definitely helped (Otz was right on the Lethal Pursuer and Bitter Murmur) I think they also have some fantastic insight on what Survivors would do in certain situations. Like, if they finish a gen and he sees them running somewhere he goes and predicts based on where they're running to where they "should" be and throws a hatchet and it works a LOT of times. So yeah, great predictions by this player. Their good aim also def helped.
aura reading alone does pretty much nothing. yea u see them but you dont know whats in between you since theres the corn and he was still hitting them.
@@Somocho "why would she miss" Its called subtle cheating? I know that you learn it by time, thats the thing that i wanted to point out that she didnt really use the auras every time to hit them. I wasn't trying to say he was cheating
@@krisztoth8475 They also sent themselves to that map by choice, seems like they're very familiar with it. Aura "helped" but the rest seemed to be pretty much just game and Survivor knowledge.
This huntress definitely uses wallhacks...The amount of hits doesnt even justify the "lucky guesses" this dude had without the perks activated. Most likely he used those kind of perks to disguise the cheats
I think the way they were making some of those shots is that they can see if someone bumps into corn. If someone even bumps corn slightly you can guess which way they are moving and time your hatchet.
Yep. Knowing it's a sure hit when she gets within a certain range plays with your mind and can wreck your team's morale. Not to even mention if they are good at long range snipes too. I played against a huntress in solo que a couple of months ago who gave me the same feeling otz had in this video. THE ONLY killer I've ever had that feeling with. Not even a good nurse will have the same effect as you always know what to expect with a cracked nurse
meh their whole build was having aura reading and being able to injure/down people on the other side of the map, if she ran a slowdown they wouldn't have been getting sniped through corn the whole match
@@is1camrin474 They had 2 aura perks. That's not a whole build, that's just half lol. And both of those perks only work at very specific times of the match.
@@looka698 some characters need lethality over slow down. This is like saying imagine if a clown used all slowdowns. Sure that match would take forever but he wouldnt get anything done. These killers thrive while using perks that help them get fast kills not by slowing the match down.
I take it more as an example of how you can be a god among men as killer and still get stomped. BHVR's take on killers: no kills = no skills. "If you make a skilled play, but get no kills, was it really a skilled play?"
@@JetDarknessable nurse is literally so easy to master. It takes ages longer to master Billy and Huntress than Nurse and people think Nurse is so difficult. Another reason why Billy and Huntress are harder is because they can't ignore pallets and walls like Nurse can. I totally agree with u
@@JetDarknessable It is getting quite rare that people claim that Nurse is the hardest killer, since it really is not. The initial start is hardest on Nurse compared to other killers, but it does not take long before you get a semi decent grasp on the ability and then it becomes a lot more forgiving than other killers.
@@hurtstosmile first you don't play Huntress with high dpi and even if, you can't have a such regular spin with a mouse. Could be a keyboard buttom tho.. But who do that? (except main Billy, Oni and maybe Blight but its shitty on him)
That moment when you see a Huntress wearing Ghostface cosmetics throwing 800 hatchets per second at every survivor at the same time while hovering menacingly. 10/10 would play again
i remember going up against such a huntress... late at night as well. Was running Pain Res + Floods + Pop + Shadowborn, I believe. I was thinking to myself as to how she hit that many consistent shots. Peeked the profile after (I somehow) got out of the match. Apparently was some decorated comp player, showed all their won tourneys stuff, 5k hours. Terrifying. and for add-ons, she ran Glowing Concoction + hatchet recovery speed. Its always the late night games, I swear. Before that match though, I had 8 nurses, of varying skill but similar add-on usage. So it was safe to say I appreciated the nice change of pace for once. Went to bed after that one.
this game reminds me of the first time i played the game. Before i knew how big the maps were or their designs, before knowing what killers abilities were, what the terror radius even was, what it meant, how big it is... and getting hit out of seemingly nowhere and being terrified of just being in the game. This is what DBD should always try to be, where the killers are stress inducing, not survivors.
@@Doncroft1 Not once did I say I have anything against Coconut, I hate people comparing them to him just because of Huntress. When clearly this Huntress has worked hard and put in thousands of hours. And deserves their own individual respect.
Reminds me of Sverkeren. Dude used to snipe with hatches with ease. Id rather go against a huntress like that instead of huntress players who just wait for an animation lock to get a hit with a hatchet or m1. Huntress players now are just not as good as Jordirex and Sverkeren.
There is a video you made Otz called " we messed with the wrong Huntress ". Was my fave video up until now. Truly shows how scary a skilled a player can be. Props for escaping !
i think that player was just playing for fun,he couldve easily just slugged them many times, not once they tunneled or camped, they knew they could win just didnt want to,they just wanted to throw hatchets
Seeing the title on this video reminded me of another video 2 years ago where Otz faced a scary huntress called “We messed with the wrong huntress” I wonder how much scarier this Huntress will be with her hatchets. Edit: Yeah this one was scary. As scary as the other one tho? No I don’t think so.
Genuinely, this has been the one time in my entire life of playing this game, that through watching someone else I felt real fear whenever I heard the fully charged hatchet noise. The fact that she was so camouflaged made her feel like an actual predator stalking its prey through the bushes, sniffing out and watching for any kind of movement, and that charge of a hatchet was her growl before the pounce. This was beautiful.
I don't know how this wasn't a 4k. The hatches were flying so often that I was sure everyone was gonna die. Good on the survivors for not giving up immediately.
i feel like if the huntress played with even the slightest intent to win win, they would have. didn't tunnel anyone out, no gen slow down perks (shadowborn lol), nothing. doubt they even kicked a gen once.
The scariest huntresses I find as a mid MMR survivor is the 8th huntress in a row I get on any given day dear god please let me see a different killer for once ;-;
@@darko-man8549 Idk, if I could take exactly 1 or 2 Nurse games for the guarantee that I get 5 or 6 games in a row that are neither Huntress nor Nurse, I might take it. I might even take more Nurse games if I could guarantee going against multiple Dredges. Mah Turkey King is so underappreciated.
@@poissonsumac7922 okay....IF I'm guaranteed to get 5-6 matches where I ONLY get killers who are not top 1 third of played killers I will take two nurse matches
Good corn vision. I think Ralph is hands down best huntress if he plays serious. The twitch in corn and being able to snap instantly and throw..Throwing at gens I think he knew the general area every one was in. An they had a advantage of knowing he they were going against, which is knowing you’re going to be doing the objective which allowed him to throw hatchets toward the objects and look for cut off points to pick ups and hooks
The 360 spins at the end were an intimidation tactic, he clearly had another 4 hatchets just in case and spared you solely because he could. The mad man.
No one is talking about how the Feng, after being unhooked at end game, managed to perfectly time a dead hard while a blind hatchet was flying at her from who knows where and that's how she escaped. It couldn't have been off the record because that deactivates at end game...
I've watched a lot of top-tier Huntresses before, and never have I seen such an impressive game. She did all this with TWO aura perks, and not even the best ones. Every other shot was intuition and game sense, which is *genuinely crazy* given how many cross-maps she hit with no info.
I am absolutely adamant that a good huntress is the most terrifying killer you can go up against. If you can get good map knowledge, know the angles, and know the timing and drop of your hatchets, you'd be near unstoppable if the survivors can't predict you
Hey Otz I found an interesting strat with trapper on RPD you should try before it changes. Do both IRI add ons, RPD offering, Plaything, Hysteria, Dark devotion, and Spies. On the west side of RPD you can set traps on 3 gens, either in doorways, halls, or right next to the gen if its a two person, and make it impossible for them to touch any of the 3 gen without touching bloody coil. This becomes extremely hard to break, you get a ton of stealth with your perks, and Spies lets you track down injured survivors easily. Really fun, but also really unfair, Love the content Peace!
So many shots made across the map that would have required aura reading, yet she literally didn't have the perks to enable it nearly as often as she made those shots. I hate to be that guy, but I think she was cheating.
Literally the most anxiety enducing game you could ever play. Literally a game of "oh God am i slightly exposed at this super precise angle? Oh i should move im going to die"
And this Huntress getting 0 kills because she didnt play "unfair" (camp, tunnel), is the problem with this game....when you play this flawless you should get rewarded in my opinion, but lets just stroke survivors egoes a bit more so they can stick to the definition of "survivors".
i mean she was just having fun and not focusing on getting kills but rather going for fun snipes so of course shes not gonna get the 4k. 0 kills doesnt always mean it was a bad match..
