The original Twin Towers had an automatic window washing system….im just saying this building really let down the people who witnessed the Twin Towers for themselves
On the 7th of August 1974, a French man named Philippe Petit .... How many times did Philippe Petit walk across the Twin Towers? Over the next 50 minutes, he completed eight trips across the divide, bowing to the onlookers below and even stopping to sit and lie down on the inch-thick wire. Finally, he dismounted and surrendered to the police, who arrested him and took him in for psychological evaluation.
In the city that I used to live in, the window washers would have to wash the skyscrapers with only a harness and rope. Got a lot of photos of that because of how nauseating that must be. I’m glad you at least get a platform for these buildings.
You not know that one time it almost fell police fire department they're all going into the One world trade center just like how building 7 window washers would react to this
The Original Twin Towers were a lot safer to clean windows than this joke of a system the new building has. FYI, the Sears Tower in Chicago is still taller.
No offense but you should be there and you should of get stuck and feel how it is and then I'll see if your still happy or not and nobody is following you.
That mechanical arm that looks like a crane is a crane which is why probably why you thought that it looked like one. It is called a building maintenance unit (BMU) and I’ll be damned if you ever see me on one. Somebody mentioned Legos🤔 Where are those Legos? I’ll be over there.
So that's what those weird looking arms are at the top of all the new tall buildings are for. I thought they had something to do with tunes mass dampers.
There’s no amount of money you could offer me to do that!!! With all this new fancy technology, someone needs to invent some way to wash those windows electronically. Or create a window washing drone at least. Humans still doing this shit in 2023 is crazy!!! But maybe they enjoy it? Couldn’t be me!
That ridiculous man o' war ship mast NYC developers call a spire on OneWorldTdCtr (which counts as the height thus making it the tallest building) is in reality, not the tallest building and is about the height of the empire state buildings art deco roof column/spire. The tallest building in Manhattan is Nordstrom Tower, 9 stories
@@DougieYT because of its absurdly tall spire, which has no floors on it last I checked. Meanwhile Nordstrom tower gets the advantage by being 11 stories taller than the ending base of the one world trade center yet is still topped by its pathetic parapet accentuator as I call it.
@@Zestybigblackman you can keep saying I'm crying and ignoring the obvious problem with this, probably because ohhh..you aren't an architect yes that's right. Don't talk in a place you have no merit or realm in talking about..I know the internet tries to make unimportant people think they can be the armchair theorist in any category of knowledge.
I would have devised on a top all around the building I would have devised Jets praise to wash all the windows?? Cuz whoever watches windows that way is gambling with their life¿??
