They don't need RU-vidrs to tell them things that are happening on their front doorstep. You've essentially just claimed that channels covering crimes are the reason cops confront murderers. The Philippines responded very seriously to scams, now less people get scammed every month than last year

The only thing we can contribute to this is being supportive to stop these scams and not involving into that. If you have any other idea of contribution then please explain and elaborate it.

Im sorry that happened. I hope things improve for you, I know this sort of thing can violate your sense of trust and self in a way. Do what you have to do, but also, please take your time to recover, someone took advantage of you, so you shouldnt beat yourself up more about it. It does nothing but just hurt you more. These thieves are getting good & it's been a struggle to discern whether people are legit or not. Don't be to hard on yourself, these things happen. File whatever report & see if you can do a stop payment with your bank. Good luck.

Please dont feel stupid! I was able to catch a live stream from Pierogi the other day and the scammers he was talking with were SOOO good at what they were doing. They even sounded American (not that that always matters). It was insanely believable and it was scary to witness. Don't be ashamed when you get scammed ! The best thing you can do is educate yourself as much as possible & take the necessary precautions to prevent it from happening again. I hope you are able to recover smoothly from this 🙏 I'm sorry to hear you fell victim to these horrible scammers.

So sorry that happened to you. GE Appliances was trying to scam me to explain how my complicated washing machine works. The scammers in India must have a redirect tech in certain legitimate phone numbers to companies. They are all scum. Life could be so beautiful for everyone if they would just stop doing these awful crimes. If all folks had the attributes of a bonobo, it certainly would be a perfect world. ❤

I was also scammed. It sucks they come and steal your money when they don't deserve it. Hopefully someone will scam them in the future then they know how it feels

Same happened to me too, I was scammed out of my hard earned money as well but I was able to get out of it before I continued to lose more of my money. I’ve been able to recover the money that I’ve lost so far but I’m still got a way to go before I get the amount of money that I used to had. I wish you guys the best of trying to recover what you lost, and getting your mental state back and I thank this guy here for doing what needs to be done!!

So many of us know it’s isolated to a certain part of your large country. Indian-Americans here work very hard; many have Graduate degrees and are physicians, dentists, researchers, etc. The families here have such high values and place education as a top priority for their children. I know the difference between the different classes of East Indians, but I can imagine how that must make one feel. Blessings to you.

The problem is, this is more than just a few isolated scammers. There is a problem within India's culture itself. That is why the police and government are happy to take a cut of the loot. Many Indians just don't think stealing is wrong. In Hinduism, eating beef is a bigger crime than stealing someone's life savings.

@@YD-uq5fi In my view, it is pernicious to tie down the core issue to a particular religion. Religious faith and beliefs do not make an individual insane. The core issue is the addiction to earn quick bucks. The govt has been doing what it can. However, growing number of cases show that regulations alone are not deterrence to this kind of crime
