this piece should be charged with so much sexual tension... it is basically the equivalent of The Point of No Return from Phantom... I think this Chauvelin conveys this well (besides having a great baritone voice!) but the Marguerite needs to seem more tempted by Chauvelin's advances as opposed to seeming scared by him.... just my honest opinion

I have to say this, if the owner of the video is in contact with the performer Chase Peterson, please, PLEASE relay him this message. He has an inherent talent with the vocal technique, it is SO obvious, he is amazing. But this is a very, very emotional song. IMHO, one of the best, if not THE best song to be sung to a woman. But he is lacking sorely in the emotional department. Please ask him to focus on that aspect, instead of trying to sing "correctly". I believe he will never ever have issues about singing correctly. He needs to understand that he needs to feel, in order to make the audience feel. If he can pull this off, I think he is bound to be a star on Broadway!
