I’d been in love with Terrance for so many years! The thrill of my life was seeing him in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, then getting to talk to him at the stage door. I was in heaven.
No homo… but if she don’t want him I will gladly take him lol. Real talk though, this is one of the first songs l listened to that made me fall in love with Musical Theater. Ever since I have used Terrence’s performances to improve my singing and acting. Thank you for sharing this video!

I wish there was a full recording of this original performance. I've searched high and low, and the sparse few recordings of the few show available are all amateur productions by a high school or university. Which are lovely in their own right, and I greatly enjoy them, but for obvious reasons, would LOVE to see it with the original cast! If anyone knows where I can view such a recording, please let me know!
[Edit]Where can I find the whole musical to watch or buy? Preferably to buy. I can't find it. I would prefer this recording too. When I first saw this I was in High school and my Drama class had been brought to a college performance of it. The cast was professional levels of talent, even our perfectionist Drama teacher/director said it. And both male leads were ABSOLUTELY gorgeous. The antagonist male lead made this song ten times more charming if you can believe it and 5 times more sexy. I felt strange things in that theater, I'm not too shy to tell you. Haha! Still so good. I wish I could find more good performances online.
Can ANYONE PLEASE tell me what song shares a very similar melody/tune to the music that starts around 1:00 mark?! It's either an 80s song with sax, or maybe even more contemporary... Any ideas?
