10:15 the memories you share are invaluable to us viewers. Especially to people like me, who don't live in the USA and my memories from the late 90s are vastly different. No one in my neighbour, and barely a few hundreds in my whole country probably even owned a GBC at the time. I remember it was in stock in a very downtown store in my city but the price was so ridiculously out of reach I didn't even bother asking my grandma to buy it for me. Hearing about the rivalry between kids whithin the block you lived in is surreal to me. Gives me goosebumps and some weird nostalgia feeling about something I didn't even live. I hope you continue to share these memories!
I was really happy with my ETB. Gold Mew ex, Full Art Blastoise ex, Regular Venusaur ex and Pikachu AR. Also 3 holo energies. Does feel like they are being a bit stingy with ARs in this set.
Im sure most won't believe this, but I bought this etb as my first product of the set and the FIRST pack. I got the alt art charizard ex. I couldn't believe my luck when I saw it.
Ive opened probably a total of 20 packs and only pulled a gold mew and a few ex cards, i agree when you say the pull rates have been hit or miss. But all things considered, if gold cards are the equivalent of secret rares back in the day, pulling one out of 20 packs would be very lucky so i cant complain, although i know over time gold cards and secret rares have been easier to pull than ever before
So far, I've pulled just 3 exs, 3 Illustration Rares, and 4 Holo Energy from 16 packs out of $100 worth of product. I would have liked to had pulled at least a single textured card. This set is definitely pretty tough on pulls.
Yeah, definitely not consistent with hits; mean you only got 1 GE card out of 9packs when it is a 1:3 ratio and only 2 ex pulls; bit weak. I know some people get lucky but I usually am not which is why I dont open much anymore. The last etb I opened was Fusion Strike and I pulled only one hit being the AFA 'Sandaconda' and 0 holos. The only lucky thing for me was I paid only $26 for it.
So this set has only the first 151 original pokemon in it? I might buy this set... I grew up on the first seasons of pokemon, I knew all 151... 😅 I'll start collecting. 😊
Hello PrimetimePokemon:) I just wanted to know whether pokemon 151 would still be available for purchasing next year or will they stop printing them, because I have no money now and I would be getting a good job only in next year August:( and I fear whether I would miss this great oppurtunity to collect the first generation pokemon cards:(
I'm actually a little disappointed at how small the art gallery subset is. Was really hoping they'd include at least 50... still amazing art nonetheless!
That is an excellent question, both sets are so fun to open, I don’t know if I can choose between the two. Celebrations is pure nostalgia, while 151 is nostalgia but also brand new cards.
