There's something so satisfying about watching massive zerg armies break apart a terran defense. Its just such a cinematic experience, the zerg in the hands of a good pro player really feel like this unstoppable overwhelming terrifying alien force that will just throw bodies at you until you can't handle it anymore.
Cannot agree more! Look how Scarlet is channeling her forces in a giant wave. And if the opponent survives this, the next wave will already be coming. And it ll be EVEN larger!
@@ThroatShredder1087 I’m really not remotely a SJW but it’s an adult making their own decision, why should you care about and/or feel like you can dictate what another autonomous entity can do? Who gives a shit
Great game! You gotta admire Cure for withstanding such a long continous Zerg onslaught! And Scarlett, of course, always a joy to watch, as you never know what kind of tactics she'll bring on the day.
Man I haven't watched SC2 game for a long while. Used to love watching vods and guide from you and lowko. For what ever reason this came across my recommended and I just couldn't watch a good scarlett game. She was one of the original Pros that I looked to when learning the game. I made got really good at a 2/2 build she used a few times and absolutely lost it when she tried protoss for a few games! Thanks for the good hosting my man and good games to the players.
Back when I played wings the hydra was my favorite unit by far. They could almost stand toe to toe with marine Maurader if you had ling bane with them! And I remember those huge 200/200 arms fights between toss and a huge arch of roach hydra and just watching the Protoss units pop from the hydras dps was amazing
That first game was the most balanced Zerg army I've seen out of Scarlett in a very very long time. Able to make very good use of Hydras now/again I see.
While it is true that Sasha always brings out crazy games to comment on, be they good or bad on her part of execution, your commentary really makes it. You have a great personality and your jokes are always funny. Suffice to say, you are one of my favorite casters and I would love to see you in more top tier tournaments commentating. Long live Brenda!
Winter Im just gonna call you out on how perfectly Baity your Scarlett Thumbnail is. But I will also Complement your Thumb Nail skills in General. they are honestly, genuinely emotionally provoking in a way I can tell requires Mastery.
Always Scarlett in the first game, brutal play. Second game the awesomic music ruled initially then cure recovered. Third game double brutal from Scarlett.
i enjoy the high skill cap game play and really enjoyed hearing peers talk about it in school, so i drop in from time to time to catch up. thanks for posting!
@@Lewdacris916 Except it is mean and is an irrelevant fact to bring up unless you're trying to hurt them. People aren't claiming trans people have the genetics of the sex they want to be. When born, they feel trapped in the wrong body, and so try to socially present themselves as the opposite gender to feel more comfortable with themselves. If you wanted to be a kind person, it's very easy to just refer them as what they want to be. But intentionally calling them what they'd rather not be (for some reason), is mean.
Crazy. Me and my friend randomly happened upon her back in an obs match back in 2010 before she became a pro. We started playing together for a while and like a week later she carried us into a master league 4v4 placement.
Nice to see Scarlett back in the game... She's always been one of my favorite players just because she's not afraid to try unorthodox strategies, makes her unpredictable and very entertaining to watch.
@@50jakecs Or maybe I just don't accept the bs and see that celebrating him as a "great female starcraft player" is a slight against women. Elevating men into positions of status in womens spaces is the epitome of misogyny and should be treated as such.
the 3rd game shows the typical frustration of being a zerg you break them so comprehensively and your opponents are still in-game. Compare that to game #2 when Cure gained an edge it was immediately over
13 year game still going strong. They need to make another Starcraft game with a new story since they ended that one. But about time I saw scarlett win.
My friends this is the counterpoint to the earlier cast Winter did on Byun vs Reynor. Byun makes banelings look like they are a waste of gas and dominates and Cure makes it look like hiding behind a wall with seige tanks is the only way to avoid losing your army to those same banes. Just play like Byun? Scarlett on the other hand, if you don't get her drone count down, is going to hold down the army keys until you die, she doesn't stop.
I'm just recently getting back into SC2 related content. Watching uthermal, sc2hl, and Winter. Anyone else I should be checking out? Also, was Winter the one who used to do SC2 with an xbox controller or am I misremembering?
I feel like they wanted to avoid the broodlings on broodlings tactic nerfing their duration and got a lot of DPS nerf on the Broodlords. If the broodlings last less, they should shoot faster so you can keep up almost the same DPS than before.
A real shot at an answer, probably because she almost had a work-life balance compared to her peers she didn't go hardcore monk in her teens and early 20s. It's also worth saying that whatever your think about her transition it must have been at least a little distracting/disruptive compared to many pro's that are literally living in a game house from age 16 and focused to the exclusion of all other things. Now she is 29 and that's ancient in pro gaming years (it's starting to show in her micro), she is also branching off into LoL, and it's hard to stay at the top when you are splitting your time. I don't care if she isn't the best, she is super fun to watch and the only Canadian I get to root for.
@@MrDdz Lol, nothing personal against the guy but I find his attitude to be really off-putting. He rages a bit too hard for me to find relaxing. So he moved back from Korea, did he?
@@Hierax415 It's just a show he puts on his stream. Some love it some hate it. The caster Artosis is more of the real Artosis. He moved to Canada to be with his wife's family.
Does anyone know the name of the music track that's playing at about the 29-minute mark? I'm looking through the starcraft ost and can't find it for some reason
I really enjoy your casting, Winter! 👍 Good games matter a lot of course, but I probably wouldn’t watch as many games if you didn’t make it so enjoyable!
There still isn't an RTS like SC2. It's too hard to play - IMO - and that's why it isn't very popular compared to other competitives, but it's incredible.
It's mind-numbingly frustrating to see ZvT matches where the Z player has to work ridiculously hard to beat T, losing unit after unit (hydras, banes, mutas) while a 50 mineral marine can be so cost effective.
actually irritates me how long it takes for a terran to tap out. Literally sitting on 1 base vs 6 and you wont tap out? incredible disrespect towards their opponent. meanwhile scarlett taps out almost instantly.
That fight at 21:00 that winter said went well for cure probably cost him 500-1000 minerals in repair. Hydras are still too expensive. Take off 25 gas or minerals, or add like 10hp. Cant trade with them for shit. Game two she took the muta risk. Hydras and mutas are just so damn fragile AND expensive. Atleast muta can fly, making them good for suprises. 99% of the time when someone spots them and makes turrets if zerg doesn't bail on the mutarisk they loose. Especially against terran. Widow mines are invisible, do splash damage, and cost less than/about same as a hydra.
The problem has always been that Protoss' ability to deal with them when they are strong is ridiculously lacking & now that things focus on carriers it's easier for hydras and mutas (the latter isn't too useful though) to take on the carriers. Phönixes I think need a slight buff in that they should reduce armour I think - like the devourer from SCI, where it'd just be a basic reduction against *armoured* air units or armoured targets on the ground (but it doesn't/wouldn't stack). Balancing Phönixes & Mutalisks with the things they need to be good at has been a problem from the start for SCII. Hydras I think have needed an ability like charge, where they reverse whilst shooting once before fully retreating. Or they need their stats increased in terms of health, but reduce something elsewhere... Maybe even just buff hydras with +5-10 H.P.s, but then do a minor nerf elsewhere & then increase Lurker morph/research time. Because buffing hydras inherently makes lurkers stronger (i.e. you can sustain or up your position too much which enhances subsequent lurkers).
@@justincronkright5025 zerg can't shoot up until mid game. And it's only ground unit that can shoot up sucks. If you want to fight air at all its a HUGE commitment to go air. You need atleast lair and spire takes a million years. So your left with the hydra off creep. But it's bad. The roach is basically a better tradable version of a hydra. At this point delete hydra and bring back scourge. It's just way to expensive for how fragile it is. Needs to be cheaper or have more health. It's comparable in cost to a dragoon except they have more health, and shields, and can blink.
@@arankoka I'm guessing a bunch of your message is missing? A stalker has double the health, armor, and can blink....and is biological so it can be sniped. The dps isn't the problem. They have less than 100hp and no armor. They melt to everything and are expensive. Too hard to trade with them and any micro slips ups are too expensive so no one makes them. They die to mines, tanks, storm, banes, colossi instantly. A goon can take like 4-5 swipes from a colossi. . Goon is more comparable to a roach than a hydra. Not to mention because a goon has shields half its health naturally heals when out of combat.
@@Upsdriver234 zerg endgame is a nightmare. Even with 3/4 of the map owned and mining you still can't safely push into terran defences. Mass mines especially autodelete zerg.
Once the upgrade has been completed, no. If it's still being researched and you don't cancel it, I believe you lose 75% of the resources for the research. This doesn't apply to units being made, just research. I believe you get 100% of your resources back from units being created when the building is destroyed.
