I've been pondering this for a while, here what i have.. They need to make a rig that has lights and cameras on all angles.. not 4 but 6 or 8 cams and lights. Plus a set of infrared, ultra violet and thermal also. They need a pole cam to poke around corners before they get there. they need heaps of leavable cams and drop them off everywhere, and leave them until the next day or something. They need radios.. Cb, walkie talkie, AM and even a crystal.. not those new age Iphail fake crap esp crap garbage (prove they aren't programed to always "detect") And a smoke generator.. if they can manifest shape.. you'll see the smoke move.. like fire foam sprayed on the invisible man. And most of all.. they should find a hidy spot and just camp there filming like a sniper waiting for his target. No light, no sound.. see if you can catch one that doesn't know your there.. just like deep sea filming those big lights will scare things off long before you get there. (Also most ghosts seem to want you to leave.. so provoke them!) Personally I'd like to go and play music to them. Music is a universal language, even animals react to it. It's better to ignore a spirits. It gets worse if they know you noticed them, hear them or see them. Trust me, just ignore it. I actually did that to a prank knocker once. Someone banged on my living room window really hard one night and spooked me at first. I got my... personal protection device and crept up to the window from the side to keep my shadow from falling on the blinds. They knocked again and I immediately knocked back. There was a pause and then they knocked again. I returned it and then they knocked really loud. I immediately pulled up the blinds with my... device pointed right at them (safety on and finger out of the trigger guard.) It's was a neighbor's kid (13 or 14 yo) who proceeded to pee his pants. I just shook my head and lowered the blinds. The kids dad came over and asked me what happened and I told him. He laughed and said maybe his kid will think twice before prank knocking from now on. On a side note, never go outside further than right in front of your door if someone knocks on a window or door late at night. Sometimes thieves will bang on a window hoping you'll come out to investigate, then ambush you and have easy access to your home since you likely didn't bother to lock your door as you left.

Not good to talk to creatures or entities in other dimensions. If something starts knocking don't knock back or else you'll be doomed to darwinism
