Agreed! That’s a testament to how we should all be. Causes me to think more about that for myself. Especially with working in customer service. We come across grumpy people a lot. But nothing like that guy so far.

@@joane.3533 Missy didn't know. By her own admission, she thought the guy was going to warn her about forgetting something in the store. Also, the person didn't honk their horn when she didn't see his vehicle in her blind spot while she was backing up. She didn't think there was anything wrong, but now she knows. All she can do from this point is live and learn.
I am so sorry you had to go through that. Never roll your window all the way down and I was so upset when Finn started crying. I was crying myself but I’m glad everybody’s OK.

We moved to Tennessee last year from SoCal. We absolutely love it here too. I have not encountered that yet because, as you know, so many of the people are just downright really nice. I do love that you chose to realize that the man was really a very sad, bitter person. You took the higher ground and chose to pray for him instead of lashing back. Mistakes happen and he was really in the wrong for verbally attacking you but your response was very good. Don’t ever feel obligated to roll your window down for an individual such as him. You handled it really well with Finn. We were in an apartment in Franklin for over a year before we moved into our home. I hope you find the ideal home for your little family. You should have never have stopped or roll down your window nowadays there are crazy grumpy people out there and you don’t what could happen in a split second and it was not okay you said sorry and that should have been the end of it.

Regardless of whether you were in the right or in the wrong, no one has the right to walk up to your car and curse at you like that. This is why we have far too many problems in this world -- because of people just like that. I concur that this individual has issues of their own and that could be the reason why they lashed out like that. It doesn't excuse their behavior by any means of the imagination, but that could be the case.
