Very abrupt doors! This is the fireman's elevator serving the office tower floors which also doubles as a service elevator for both the shopping mall and the office. I didn't manage to get the tower elevators because I went there on Sunday and they were locked out (offices were closed, obviously). The other one in tower two looked the same as this one so I didn't bother to film that.

• Floors served: B, LG, G, 1-3, 4-12, 14-16* (18 floors)
• Year installed: 1983
• Buttons: Dewhurst US91-15
• History: Original, except the buttons which have been replaced (originally R-Series)

This is one of the most amazing scariest grottiest lifts I know of it is so scary that the doors close really fast

Most 80s Schindler elevators tends to have very fast doors.

IDLift3000 I would prefer the D-Series green indicator however. The font they used for this indicator is very badly designed.

Almost like a Queensland Rail EMU train closing (which also have fast doors). Most Schindler QKS9 doors don't close that fast!

Why is the doors abrupt? Is it because the lift is not well maintained, or it's just the old technology.

A lot of older Schindler elevators with QKS door operators tend to operate fast. Some aren't as abrupt or rough as this one, but for this elevator the lack of maintenance coupled with the deteriotating condition of the elevator due to years of heavy usage (due to the fact that this is a service/fireman elevator serving this office cum shopping mall) might have been the reason why the doors are rather "abnormal".
