The lady and little girl in the beginning was not real...they are another way for her to detach herself from her reality to help her cope with the murders. The imagined lady was one of her voices admonishing her for how she treats the kids, the little girl was her way of feeling connected to a child by being kind to them, then it was her "nice neighbor" persona she took on to justify that the kids need their "mom" and she is doing the best she can. At the end that's why you see her smoothing her own hair and repeatedly saying she is doing the best she can while two remaining kids fend for themselves.

I live in Alabama & One of my friends from middle schools cousin left her children alone for about a month or so and after they hadn't been to school in while the school called DCS and they found her 4 children in the apartment dead from starvation! Then this is eerily similar to another true story, it's sad and crazy that things like this really happen to innocent babies and children that have their lives taken from the very person whose supposed to be their protector 😥🙏

This is actually based on a true story. Mitchelle Blair suffered from from schizophrenia and PTSD from sexual abuse as a kid. She had 4 kids and they all suffered abuse. In about 2012,she killed her oldest child, her 13yr old daughter because she claimed that Stormi,the daughter, molested her youngest son. After killing her, she stuffed her in the freezer. Then a year later she killed her 9 year old son, and also put him in the freezer. They weren't discovered until 2015. Later on, the two living children went on to say that there was never any sexual abuse. Only the mom beating on them. So basically the mothers PTSD made her snap and kill her kids. The two houses in the short film is representing the mother snapping in and out of reality.

This is about Mitchelle Blair.... She had four children. She killed two of her children Stoni and Stephen because she thought they were molesting the younger child. She put Stoni and Stephen in the freezer. There are stories about her on RU-vid.And since she’s in prison for life this movie could be her on the outside looking in at the things she has done.

They lived in a apartment complex and neighbors said they didn't hear anything although she was abusing them. The school finally got the police involved and they found the kids stacked in the freezer.
