Being scared just hits different when it comes to scary story's

The going to a concert story scared me so bad. Car broke, a bunch of nice people helped, fantasized that every person is the world is a murderer, did not the demeanor of diner customers, friend's father picked them up the next day. Whoever wrote that one has surely grown up to be the world's biggest Karen.

I use to have a really hard time sleeping, I used to get bad anxiety and over think a lot when I closed my eyes. But ever since I found your channel I can now finally get good sleep. I just wanna say thank you so much for making these. Keep doing what you’re doing

The story at 32:00 brought back some very old memories that I haven't thought of for a few years now. My story wasn't as scary, but it had the potential to go upside-down in a heart beat. To cut a long story short, it was homecoming and I was a junior. I went with a group of friends. After the party, we went to hangout in the old park in our town. Not doing anything but taking in the night air and enjoying the moments of peace and serenity that are so rare to find now. In this group of friends was a couple, me, and another girl (I'm a guy by the way.). The girl went to the opposite end of the park to have some alone time because she was having trouble with a long distance relationship, and seeing all the other couples made her hurt. I had a huge crush on her at the time, but respected her because I wanted to help her more than anything else. At that time, it was giving her some space. So, this park is located on the side of a hill. Me and the couple where up at the top of the hill in a Pavillion, while the girl was at the bottom of the hill next to a Vietnam War monument. Me and the couple where joking and talking about life when the couple noticed some shadyfigures, five if memory serves, coming down the road at the bottom of the hill heading straight towards the monument. Now this park was the local go get your drug type area at night. We thought that most of the druggies where going be at the after parties selling there stuff there instead. These figures where heading straight towards the monument where the girl was at. I forgot to mention this monument was under a lamp post lighting both the monument and the girl up for everyone to see. The Pavillion we where at was blocked from the surrounding light by some trees. This shady group didn't even see us and looked solely focused on the girl. The girl didn't see the figures coming and I just felt something wrong in my gut. I was up and running down the hill just as the shady figures reached the monument. I recognized them immediately as the local thug group. I knew they saw me coming and I had lost my surprise advantage. As I got closer I thought desperately to think of any kind of advantage I could scrap back. When I was 15 feet out I slowed down to a slight jog and yelled out "Good evening gentlemen!". With a big goofy smile on my face. It was the first thing that came to mind. This seemed to surprise them. They tensed up and I thought, "I'm screwed.", however, they kept walking giving me the side eye the entire time. When they were past me, I went right up to her and said "Damn. That was intense.". She looked relieved and horrified at the same time. She said to me that they said amongst themselves, as I was running towards them, "That they were going to jump me and stab me if I kept running at them.". This horrified me so much. I instantly knew that if I didn't yell out to them in such a surprising manner, that I would possibly be on the brink of death at that very moment. I thank God for looking over us that night, now that I think of it. I'm shaking at the memory of that night. I later had a falling out with that group of friends and that girl. I hurt thinking about her sometimes. Now that this memory has come up, I ach even more because I would have done anything to protect a friend. Crush or no crush. I really miss them all. However, I learned something about myself that night. I thought I was brave, but I learned I was brave. I acted even though I didn't know what would happen next. It also taught me that you can do anything for someone you care for, but they could turn a blind eye to what you have done for them. It hurt, but I learned from it.
