Na any publicity is good publicity no one knew who he was before once he mellows out he can work on being a content creator and market himself as the chess villain.
@jamieevans5979 No she didn't. There's even a part of where he said something along the lines of "Well, if you watch the recording back" and she says "We are watching the screens" so there wasn't anything, he was just trying to save his pride .
man , Gukesh , Nepo , Hikaru and Fabiano are like fire and horse sh*t. they are on fire for one tournament (not even winning it exept gukesh) , and then horse sh*t in the rest of the year. Hopefully, they find a new board game this isnt for them
@@Turuma-y5n Bruh. Those phrases are contextual. "Ice cold" is typically not used to refer to anything good in a competitive context. In very specific uses it is meant to be used positively, but in 95% of cases "ice cold" is a bad thing.
Alireza (my boi) going up and down has a reason. He is so talented his talent has made him outperform his normal progress path. I hope he gets to maturity in like 3 years and we see his full potential , the MONSTER
Kudos to Alireza for the brilliant match victory!! And my God, the match between Magnus and Hans was definitely not as close as the final score suggests! Looking forward to the final between Magnus and Alireza!!🔥
Surprised they picked a venue with poor or no A/C?! Thus, Magnus' hair blowing because of a fan. Kudos to Firouzja and Carlsen and good luck to both in the Final!
Ya dude was mental being confident for the game also worked hard for the match he shouldn't be confident you know being confident means narcissist makes sense i hope hans didn't get 12.5 and 6 points lower
YOURE A CLOW OF THE HIGHEST ORDER. Magnus made baseless accusations of him cheating. If i was Hans, i would want to kill Magnus for having put me under that spotlight and providing me with this insane headache. hans was 19 when this happened you dumbass. Remember that
I’m glad Magnus spoke up about the playing conditions. I noticed the players were hot in both matches. It makes a big difference. Do you want to see Hikaru, Magnus, and co. Play their best chess?
I hope hikaru recovers from todays match. I dont know why it is this hard to admit Alireza got passed him . I wish their relation gets on a good conditions. Both are really talented players and i dont forget the days they were playing fascinating online matchs and praised each other. Hope to see that vibes again
Loved the playful yet very informative interactions between Danya and Levi. Looking forward to seeing them commentate on more events in the future, this was a blast!
Hans' downfall is his behaviour. A lot of people had sympathy for him when it turned out that the OTB cheating allegations were largely baseless. But he goes on these paranoid rants talking about the entire chess world colluding against him to keep him down, he treats interviewers with hostility, engages in childish namecalling, condescension, he thrashes his hotel room, and refuses to hear any point of view that doesn't allign with his own. He's got a severly inflated sense of self-importance, and lacks basic manners and fundamental social skills.
Yes but Levy is such a wannabe influencer. He's the up and coming guy and I guess the sponsors thought that he'd be a popular commentator. But I agree with you.
Hot temperature can be a variable to playing horribly. They need to cool the room. How are the players and commentators sweating when they’re not even exerting energy.
Magnus basically threw 5 games at the end, + 2 match in which magnus was winning hans did his act so it was near a 11-12 points lead for magnus overall
@@chessgains8075 it got better but all the technical issues where the live board wasn’t working, the awkward Canty introduction, the at times nervous commentators, the lower quality of play due to the extreme heat in that room, the crowd not really getting as hype as expected. It was underwhelming to say the least but I like the efforts they’re making to stir up some new excitement.
Beating Magnus that one time is the worst mistake Hans could have ever made. Now every accomplishment he ever has is dismissed and he is blacklisted, and his actions to defend himself are spun as assaults. This is the worst timeline. I’d hate to be him.
Hans is a good player, it would be adorable if senior players could deal with him as a provocative younger brother in the family , or else his character brings disgrace to this sport. I can neither blame him a 100 percent for he is young yet and nor the senior players 'coz they can't always be cool either.
If they’re literally next to each other and playing on computers, why are not connected through lan instead of using chess servers? Wouldn’t that remove possible lag issues (or claims/excuses about lag)?
Chess' largest issue is cheating concerns. They could fly out arbiters to watch each player play but at that point its the same cost to just fly the players out themselves and makes for better entertainment
@@masyan3457 I think they said that somewhere in this stream or previously, but maybe I misheard 😅 Edit: I found a reddit post stating that all $1500 VIP tickets are sold so it's actually that expensive.
Where are the Hans So called Fanbase....who were saying that Hans Baby gonna beat the BOSS 😂😂😂 Hans using *technical issues* as a weapon to frustrate and distract Magnus ... We all knows magnus threw many games at the end ... otherwise the difference would be higher .
The proctor agreed with at least one technical issue though, that's why one of the games was restarted. It did seem like there was some strange stuff going on throughout, sometimes Hans' moves were coming at weird times as though there was lag. Maybe it will be investigated who knows
I don't think Magnus threw anything. Hans just gave him a bit of a challenge. Whatever you think about Hans you can't get away from facts. 60% vs 40% of games won, it wasn't as clear cut as one would think a match between the GOAT and the #16 would be. Just facts.
Most Hans fans didn't say that, just like most Magnus fans don't start their comments as immature as you did. It puts the rest of the community in a bad light.
Hans is genuinely on the level of super gms and probably on the upper end of that scale. Unfortunately Magnus is quite literally the best chess player to ever live and is still in his prime.
@@emanuellucin his recent performances have pushed him further and further to that region. His rating is only going up. No clue when he’ll hit his peak but he’s only 21…
Magnus would've gain more score if he took all the match seriously, as you can see when hr gained 10 more leads, he just wanted to end the game fast because its pointless to continue with the time left in the match.
No? They literally tied in both 3+1 and 1+1. Hans played quite well, results wise he gave Magnus a harder time than Alireza, who lost majorly in both 5+1, 3+1 and 1+1
@@sarads7877 the results didn't do justice to the actual match situation if you followed it. Moreover, Magnus certainly didn't play at his best (probably on purpose, probably not), but even then he crushed Hans. The scoreline wasn't a clear depiction of how the match went
Hans played excellently. Exciting and beautiful games as always. He follows very fine threads and takes the games to unique, unexpected places. He went even with Magnus in both 3+1 and 1+1, despite some unlucky moments in the 5+1 section. He recovered well and remained stable after losses, which is very inspiring to see.
Unfortunately, the egos in the upper echelons of chess are off-putting. They need to get some commentators who aren't talking 100 mph about every possible move throughout every live broadcast. They need a "Jon Anik" sort of commentator to offset the GM commentators and make these live tournaments more watchable for the masses. Levi is kind of that, but it would be nice to if he could get other commentators to chill out a bit and have more fun with their coverage.
@@alonsocordero5964 but he only lost by 5 despite being down by 10 at one point, that's pretty decent tbh. I mean this is Magnus Carlsen we're talking about. Did you see what he did to Minh?
Magnus literally didn’t care about the game in bullet section after first few wins, he said it himself he just wanted to end the game somehow. However Hans did draw Magnus in Blitz section
@@sarcasm4371 did you watch the last 5 games? compare it with how Magnus acted before that? He wasn't even trying anymore, he knew the gap was too wide already
U are just a clown it was never even close magns was up 10games and hans was just pausing and crying them magnus to disrespect thatkid played a3 h3 and nonsenses and just got bored of him crying he just wanted to match end because hans doesnt deserve to play him when he was 17.5 to7.5
Losing by 17.5-12.5 against Magnus is impressive. Anybody else would have gotten praise . It was good play by Hans but Magnus is Magnus . And it was very unsportsmanlike from Hans at end . It was immaturity at end and Magnus was laughing. Excuse after losing 😂
Dude it was like 17.5to 7.5 but magnus was bored that he was crying like a kid and played a3 and nonsesnses to disrespect him and embarrase him it was not even close
@@divyansh3697 Tbh we don't know. Even if it was a server issue, not all server problems effect all parties the same. It doesn't help that Hans has been warring with Chesscom for two years over unfair treatment, so from his perspective this might seem like an escalation against him; much more than just standard tech problems. There's definitely a psychological side to it as well
Hans pretends like he's "not a victim" but he certainly acts like a victim. He thinks the whole world's against him, but in reality, if he showed some humility it would stop his humungous ego from overshadowing his talent. I sincerely hope that this humbling helps push him to being a less irritable and paranoid person.
