This stretch contains the part from Spinas to Samedan along the famous Albula Railway Line, which runs from Thusis to St. Moritz. With its 55 bridges and 39 tunnels, the 61.67-kilometre long (38.32 mi) line is one of the most spectacular narrow gauge railways in the world.
Spinas is located in the "Val Bever", a side valley of the Engadin in the canton Graubünden near the Southern tunnel portal of the Albulatunnel.
