A beautiful Friday afternoon in Tacoma, WA brings a variety of catches to the table. Amtrak Cascades, UP manifest and stack, and BNSF manifest, grain, trash and local. The tallest mountain in Washington State, Mt. Rainier, is clear in the background as the weather is partly cloudy with random lighting.
The big southbound freights at high notches are showing their horsepower as they roar towards Nelson Bennett.
This is also a special video for me. My first time I'd upload a video with my new Canon Vixia R800 camcorder which is able to produce 60 FPS video, a much cleaner, faster frame rate and is perfect for trains. I am working on getting more recent single railfanning sessions uploaded in the mean time since I only have enough footage for 30FPS compilations, I really want to treat my viewers with the new look.
