On Saturday 23rd March 2024 I was on holiday in the coastal town of Bridlington North Yorkshire when I participated in the 570th running of Sewerby parkrun. The start begins in a stunning location on Sewerby cliff top above the North Bay, just outside Sewerby Hall & Gardens & adjacent to the land train stop. The course then loops right following the path towards Bridlington for about 1Km. Upon reaching the white building of the lifeguard Station, the course then loops left back up the coastal path back towards Sewerby. The views are absolutely beautiful & picturesque and its certainly one of the most scenic parkruns I've ran. After running 2.7km from the start there is a turnaround point on the coastal path which then takes you around the edges of the cricket field and into the grounds of Sewerby Hall. The route involves going through the formal gardens and woodland with a finish outside the Hall itself. It is a beautiful scenic parkrun course and is not one to be missed. I finished in a time of 25.19 and came 1st in my age Group 65-69 years and 46th/208 overall!
