On Saturday 23rd March 2024 I was on holiday in the coastal town of Bridlington North Yorkshire when I participated in the 570th running of Sewerby parkrun. The start begins in a stunning location on Sewerby cliff top above the North Bay, just outside Sewerby Hall & Gardens & adjacent to the land train stop. The course then loops right following the path towards Bridlington for about 1Km. Upon reaching the white building of the lifeguard Station, the course then loops left back up the coastal path back towards Sewerby. The views are absolutely beautiful & picturesque and its certainly one of the most scenic parkruns I've ran. After running 2.7km from the start there is a turnaround point on the coastal path which then takes you around the edges of the cricket field and into the grounds of Sewerby Hall. The route involves going through the formal gardens and woodland with a finish outside the Hall itself. It is a beautiful scenic parkrun course and is not one to be missed. I finished in a time of 25.19 and came 1st in my age Group 65-69 years and 46th/208 overall!

Our favourite parkrun for scenery. You feel like you run for a lot further than you have been as there is so much variety along the way. We always like to head over to Flamborough afterwards. Memories of childhood holidays for me.

It was a really enjoyable parkrun with beautiful scenery. I certainly will be visiting again. I wasn't expecting that hill after the formal gardens though

Thanks for watching the video, yes training is back on track now after an injury scare. Hope we've seen the last of the persistent rain!

I'm really glad you had a great experience at Sewerby Michael, it's a lovely place to have a parkrun & the volunteers are so friendly. Bridlington to Flamborough sounds an awesome trail race. You certainly had a busy weekend of running
