On Sunday 2nd June 2024 I travelled to Grimsby in North East Lincolnshire to race the Orsted Great Grimsby 10K, organised by Tape2Tape events. I have never taken part in this race before so I was very excited to have a crack at it! It was another beautiful sunny day around about 15 degrees with just a gentle breeze. I was hoping to finish in a time of around 47 minutes but I knew deep down that this would be very hard to attain. I had ran a 5K Race a few days before recording 23.46 so 47 minutes would be a hard ask. There were also several runners from my local running club Gainsborough & Morton Striders taking part in this race so it promised to be a great club day out!
