The best day we’ve ever had at “work”! I knew G Wagons were tough, but holy smokes nobody could have told me they were THIS tough. Hope you enjoy this insane adventure

What kind of tires were on that G wagon that sustained such abuse ?? I need those. BTW LOVED THIS ADVENTURE!!

@@CJ-rk5eg the ones on the G in the Video are Falken Wildpeak A/T AT3WA. (according to the tread pattern and the Falken Homepage which states that the G is equipped with those from the factory since 2018 depending on the wheel and tires chosen.) But i think it should be noted that they did not reduce airpressure in the tires before going offroad. It might be different when the tires are aired down. (the way they went downhill, the tires would maybe overheat and get damaged if aired down.)

May i correct/add some things?: 1: they *do not own the mountain*! The part of the mountain they use belongs to someone else, but the predecesor of Magna "made" a track and are allowed to use it. (and used the track already in the 50's) The antennas you showed are not just cell phone antennas, they are used and serviced by a telecom company, austrian TV and the austrian air traffic service provider. And as i work for one of these companies, i have to drive up and down the service road a few times a year, and it's not Magna we have to inform and pay for the road usage... Tee cable cars are part of the public transport of the city of Graz, and the resturant(s) on the top are owned and operated by private families. 2: the earlier Pinzgauers had an aircooled 2.5L NA gasoline engine with a very distinctive noise (you can tell them apart by the "nose", the later Diesel ones have a nose like the one in this video, the others miss that scoop and have a "flat" nose.) 3: I know US americans are not so into F1 but a former F1 world champion driving for Mercedes got a ride once. After reaching the top, he supposedly went out of the car and used the cable car for his way down. He supposedly called the test drivers crazy and would not get back into the G. (this was the old G, and the test drivers of course wanted to show the abilities of the car and their own, so they weren't going extra slow for fotos...He claimed it to have been scarier than driving his F1 car) 4: the most impressive thing to me was that they sent the preproduction G's down this way for 2000km each, and only when they made it without anything ratteling or getting loose or having defects, they were considered ready for production. Anyways your enthusiasm is very much appreciated!

As someone who uses a Pinzgauer for Search and Rescue here in the States it's great to see the appreciation for the G and the Pinz. They are amazing vehicles off road and absolutely unstoppable in many challenging environments. I'm so jealous you got to go to Graz, it's on my bucket list for the next year or so.. great video, thanks for sharing your adventure with us.

It was a very easy road. In Baluchistan, we have much rougher roads, if you want to come there, test Mercedes
