People were complaining about the length of the reviews? Longer reviews=more information about the product. Always love the longer form reviews, so keep it up. Only recommendations I can make is to even out the lighting and always make sure to show us all of the packaging, cause sometimes all you show us is the front. Other than that, great review as usual!

@@JeffRauseo you made a mistake when you said maybe 15 years difference the film is older then 15 years . 15 years ago would be 2005, this movie came out in 1993 which makes it in fact 27/28 years old as a film

Hello- to Jeff. in February you had a video with confirmed 4K release dates. one such 4K was Speed in May. the 4K is still not listed on Amazon. ???????

When you are talking about HDR in this video and in general, do you refer to HDR10 or Dolby Vision? Did you get a better picture of your projector or OLED TV? Why usually they add the Bluray 1080p version as well? Can't you just put the 4K Bluray on a full HD TV and it will downscale so it would like the same as the 1080p Bluray? Thank you ❤️

Great review! I am excited to check this one out for myself soon. Another Spielberg title on 4K I am curious about is Jurassic Park. I have heard mixed things about the restoration. Have you seen it?

It's a bit pricey but have you considered importing Les Tontons Flingueurs in 4K from France? It was the very first B&W movie to come out on UHD back in 2017. No HDR but the restoration is lovely (and the disc does have English subtitles).

Still have my original DVD copy. Looks great upscaled but I feel like I need to upgrade with this 4K copy.

ooh 🙃 I didn't know this was in 4k, I don't have a 4k TV yet but I did watch "The Hustler" on 1080 Blu Ray and the details were very sharp . Hopefully I get my upgrade this holiday season . There was some neat facts about the Newman actor and his connection to the Newman's Own salad dressings.

I watched the regular blu ray version of the movie from this 4k set for the 25th anniversary, Great looking but not the best looking blu ray, But then I borrowed my sisters 4k TV for the 4k Disc and it is the best picture quality I have ever seen for home media, it is so crisp, smooth, and real, My version has Dolby Vision and I got it back in December, I also saw it in theaters for the 25th anniversary in Dolby Cinema

I love bullmoose. I buy all my movies, games and books there. I’ve always loved that their stickers are so easy to peel off and come off clean, unlike wal-mart, GameStop etc.

No I have been! Typically it’s a mix of positive and negative - for example, poor grain structure but great color with HDR, or the lack of an Atmos track, or things like that.

10-12 minutes reviews are fine, don't rush things out. Maybe make a wrap up in the last two minutes for people who want don't have all the time

I wouldn't say Schindler's List is a better looking restoration than Close Encounters - they simply use different film stock, the film stock used in the '70s has heavier grain. I prefer Close Encounters because it looks even more like a film print, Schindler's List is a little too clean, but both look excellent. I aprecreate your reviews because you understand and aprecreate the fact that film has a superior image to digital, and film transfers are superior to digital transfers.

Real fan here Jeff. Won't buy a vid till you have reviewed it! With regards to the comments about the leanth of your vids....... I too think they are rather long at times and a bit repetitive. Make your point, then move on. Hope your not offended!

Too long?? Good grief. I see no problem here...some reviews take ten minutes, some take 30 depending on what's being discussed...the reviews should take as long as each calls for. Keep doing what you're doing, there is no issue at all.

yeh Jeff you do take too long .. spare change gives 3 minute reviews straight to the main 4K upgrade points .. i find myself going to his vids more often then yours.
