August 2015 update:
The building about to be demolished now, these elevators will be no more
Well I made a return to the old children's hospital of Pittsburgh UPMC This was the main tower of the Childrens and these were known as the purple elevators as the Childrens hospital Color Coded their elevators. It is now occupied by the UPMC Presbyterian South Tower. The elevators are unmodernzed and still the original 1986 schindler-haughton. The building went under a renovation and some areas are now blocked off by drywall and the lobby is hidden now and I cant seem to find it or to where the Parking elevators are. These elevators used to be purple now they are an off white color. Card reader now restricts some floors :( The DeSoto Wings have been demolished and are gone forever where they had westinghouse elevators. The 1st floor bank has new lighting above the elevator bank which I dont like before it was vanity lighting now its plain Fluorescent lights with dropped ceiling so this place is basically ruined now. Been over four years since I was here and it closed in 2009. Here is a video from When it was Childrens hospital • Schindler-Haughton ele...

The video is new I just made it not long ago. The elevators are older, from 1986 along with the building. Childrens hospital closed down this building in 2009 and UPMC Presbyterian now occupies the building. They did some renovations to the place and some things are different.

Oh, so the East elevators have the same cabs as these elevators and were modded/installed at the same time.

It was built in 1986, these elevators were heavily used back in the day.
