As soon as Jurassic Park wrapped Picture in Hawaii. He was on a plane to Poland to begin shooting this. In his contract he had to shoot Jurassic Park first then this.
@@danielmoorefield4891 Actually it is true. Mr. Spielberg made Jurassic Park first, which was a fun loving, child friendly, light hearted sci-fi epic, then he made this dark, sorrowful, heart wrenching Schindler's List. Because Spielberg said that after filming Schindler's List, he won't be in a good mood to film Jurassic Park and would ruin JP. He made a right decision and both the movies got sky rocketing success and remembered for time immemorial.....
Uhm. The fact that I searched to watch this trailer because I'm house sitting and have two movie options to watch.... Schindler's List or Jurassic Park. First comment I see.... this. I got goosebumps
Torah (Mishnah, Sanhedrin 4:5) How do we press the witnesses in a capital case? We bring them in [to the court's chambers] and press them: "Perhaps what you say [isn't eyewitness testimony] is but your own assessment, or from rumors, or your witnessing an actual witness testify, or your reporting what a trustworthy said. Or perhaps you were unaware that by the end we'd interrogate you, with examination and inquiry. Know that capital cases are not like monetary ones. In monetary cases, [a false witness] can return the money and achieve atonement. But in capital cases, the blood of [the victim [and all his future offspring hang upon you until the end of time. For thus we find in regard to Cain, who killed his brother, "The bloods of your brother scream out!" (Genesis 4:10) - the verse does not say blood of your brother, but bloods of your brother, because it was his blood and also the blood of his future offspring [screaming out]! [Another explanation of the verse: for his blood was splattered over the trees and rocks [there was more than one pool of blood]. [The judges' speech continues] "It was for this reason that man was first created as one person [Adam], to teach you that anyone who destroys a life is considered by Scripture to have destroyed an entire world; and anyone who saves a life is as if he saved an entire world."
I wouldn't say Jurassic was iconic as it was technically impressive for having the first best use of 3D textures in natural lighting. Before this Terminator 2 revolutionized 3D effects but did so using chrome. Jurassic stepped it up by using natural skin textures. Oh of course the film also had a gorgeous Laura Dern so that helped too.
@@TheMazza202 I don't think fictional is the right word here. At least not Schindlers List. It's a movie about the holocaust and Mr.Schindler. Unless you wanted to say both are not real, lol.
For me it's the end when Oskar is breaking down and figures he could have gotten three more for the car and one for the pin. He could have gotten more. That's the part that gets me every time. Great movie.
Please make this version available worldwide in all cinemas. We should see this again and educate a new generation. Indeed it is an experience. Universal, please make this available in all cinemas.
Absolutely. If needed in the USA and Canada, it goes without saying that a lot of other countries would require additional viewings of this masterpiece.
My first time seeing it was when I was in high school. My entire class went to our school's auditorium and viewed it from start to finish. The scene that really stuck out to me was towards the end of the film, Schindler was looking at some of the lavish things he still had and realized he could've used those asstes to make his list bigger. "I could have saved more" he said and then broke down in tears. When he broke down, the people he saved all gathered around and hugged him. That shit truly hit me right in the heart. I was in tears, and some classmates sitting around me were too.
This movie changed my life, and I actually researched and am about to publish a book on it. My deepest gratitude to S. Spielberg, and to the shining example of Oskar.
It took me three or four times to get through this movie all those years ago. (when renting movies was still a thing) The sheer brutality and systematic destruction of innocent human beings was really difficult to watch, but it was honestly and starkly portrayed. Ralph Fiennes was so brilliant in the role of monster Amon Goeth that I honestly couldn't see a film with him in it for years. A testament to his acting to say the least. Schindler's List haunts your soul and it reaches you on another level that I can't even describe. There are moments of pure beauty too, leaving you breathless and crying. John William's musical score is sublime and the violin solo by Itzhak Perlman gives me chills. An absolutely stunning achievement in filmmaking.
Thank you, Universal, for giving this a re-release. One of my all time favorites and now, finally, I'll be able to see it on the big screen for the first time. I remember my first viewing around 2000, 2001, on PBS. Powerful. One of the most impactful achievements in cinema.
1 Deadpool 2 Avengers 3 Transformers 4 Fast & furious 5 The Ninja turtles 6 Flash vs Arrow . . . . . . . . . 126 (maybe) Schindler's list New generations are need more meaningful movies!! 🤔🤔🤔
The documentary style of this movie with great use of handheld camera work, that was also used in Saving Private Ryan, along with the incredible convincing acting of the tremendous cast, already helped to be an instant classic back when it was first released 25 years ago.
When I watched the movie, every scene broke my heart. This movie shows the truth and what really did happen there. What really shook me was the girl with the red coat. This movie is heartbreaking and beautiful
I was a soldier for nearly 25 years and that film has had a profound effect on me since I first saw it,makes me cry everytime but I still watch it to remind me why we fight tyranny and abuses around the world.arguably one of the best films ever made by one of the best director ever Steven Spielberg
And to think it was made in early 90's.. yet it looks just as fresh as last year's The Post, another movie made by him. Trully a visually timeless movie :-)
I've watched this countless times, first in the movie house when I was in high school. I am now in my fifties and I always get tears in my eyes every time I watch it over and over again. The best film that I have ever seen in my lifetime 💕
I remember when i watched this movie with my girlfriend, she's Polish Jews and i'm Germany, after the movie was over, we didn't speak single word at that time, we just kept silent and went to drink tea, but on the way, she looked at me and I saw her tears, she held my hands and hugs me and said "Whatever has happened in the past I still love you". my heart broken instantly, I felt the wind like a thousand knives stabbing my chest.
Steven Spielberg's first drama masterpiece was The Color Purple after coming off E.T.. He was robbed of Best Director for that film simply because he was considered too mainstream a director. My favorite dramas from him are: * Schindler's List * Color Purple * Munich * Empire of the Sun
Schindler's List will get you rolling and sobbing out of complete despair and helplessness after having to also endure the hardships and pain these people went through. Spielberg does his homework in all caps. He never leaves anything out for pure speculation and complete and utter nonsense to dwell on.
Truly one of the most inspirational movie of all time...it literally changed my life.....love for humanity is the most noblest thing that a human can do.

The part in the movie where they separated the essential workers vs the non essential workers....it gives you chills.. they're doing it now... Did anyone else catch that??? ♥️🙏💜
One of the most important cinematic experiences I’ve ever watched seriously if you haven’t seen it or are of legal age to watch the darker scenes it’s important that this is never ever forgotten.
I really need to watch this, but this type of stuff really gets to me. I saw one spoiler image from the movie and couldn't stop thinking about it for like an hour. Call me a wimp or whatever, but hearing about all the atrocities that happened in WWII really depresses me even though I wasn't around at the time. Makes me angry to see all those Neo-Nazis spouting all their nonsense. The world probably does need this movie again.
With how turbulent the world currently is right now, I think they need to release it in theaters again. I feel like the world is trying to erase history
One of the greatest films ever made i would go see this again in the cinema again and at nearly 3 hours long , this as what cinema was simply made for and have this on dvd , but i would watch at the cinema yet again no question
+GetTpOrDIE Only if you promise me to stop eating dogs, cockroaches, squids, rat feces and whatever it is you consider to be a delicacy in your culture..
If here's anyone wondering to watch this movie or not, then Please, Please watch it, think no further and recommend to others all through your life. The most important movie ever made.
I think he's talking about the technical aspects such as cinematography, the lightning, the use of contrast, the framing choices, the editing and the music.
@@12Wackelpudding , I talking about cinematography , proper character use. Mostly I like it how beautifully described and designed Nazi's torture on jaws 👏👏👏
I ended up seeing it five times in the theater. I’ve never seen an audience like that, before or since. Nobody moves when it’s over. It’s like the world suddenly goes in slow motion.
The best movie I have ever seen. Not easy to watch but so important not forget. Human life is so precious. Differences don't matter. But makes us better. I will never forget the first time I saw the little angel in the red coat. I wept without restraint.
Regarded as one of the best movies ever made, and I couldn't agree more! Always makes me cry :( I wish i saw this in the cinema, I hope that this 25 year anniversary re-release comes to the UK
I have loved this film ever since i tearfully saw it in a theatre in the western suburbs of Sydney Australia in early 1994. One thing that never surfaced was a true "making of" documentary of the movie. Lots of material about the the Shoah Visual History Foundation that the film and Spielberg generated after the movie but nothing about the actual filming in Krakow Poland in the winter of 92/93. There was a netflix documentary about Spielberg and I was stunned to see some actual colour B-roll footage of the making of the film. The fact that Spielberg wanted to use black and white and handheld cameras nearly stopped the film from being made. I know making of documentaries are a tool to promote movies and this is not that sort of film but this movie showed Spielberg's gift of film making. Even with barely anything in the toolbox he created a shattering film experience.
