I love Alexis, Annie Murphy does a brilliant job with the accent, and mannerisms. I only discover this show recently, and it is one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long while, every character has their own unique style , deserves every emmy nomination.
@@AveGoddess yes! Alexis was just the cutest thing. She made snobbery so cute. lol. I loved her song! And how she would use her fingers. 😂 And Moira...wow. Just wow. Ok we’ll all of them totally had the “wow” factor. I’m so bummed it’s over. David’s faces he makes when he doesn’t like something...classic! Johnny was just a big ol softy.
I have never watched a show twice ! This show was seen more than 3 times now and I laugh at every joke like I am hearing it for the first time ! Love the show
All I know now is I'm never going to watch home alone in the same way ever again! 😂 Never realised how hilarious Catherine O'hara is! So talented. Whole cast are very talented.
They were all brilliant! The whole family group in it made me laugh and Stevie's sarcasm was such fun to watch.I loved Annie Murphy the most though. She was just so funny and expressive.A wonderful cast.A real life enhancing series.
Moira Moira Moira, LOVE that vocabulary !!!! Had to stop repeatedly to lookup words I didn’t recognize, LOL.... the show is awesome, I’m still waiting on season 6 to come on Netflix. Can’t wait to see it but sad it’s the last season so I’m kind of enjoying the wait because it’s better than seeing all and no more left 😢
Such a great show. They rarely come this good and original. And omg!!! That was always my favorite part of the show with Alexis as well - every time she told such an outrageous story!! My favorite Alexis Rose life events and quotes: 1) "He's broken up with me five times already," Alexis tells David about her ex-boyfriend, Stavros. "Like, there was that time that he never met me in Rio, and remember that time that he gave me his ex-wife's engagement ring? And then, last summer, that time that he left his Molly in my glove compartment, and then I got arrested?" 2)When the Roses decide to play Two Truths and a Lie to get to know each other better, Alexis reveals something troubling about herself. "My eyes are brown, I'm basically sample size," she begins, "and one time, I escaped from a Thai drug lord's car truck by bribing him with sex." And although her eyes are actually blue, Alexis tells her parents not to worry - "Aroon was a lovely gentleman until he ran out of money." 3)When Alexis tells Mutt (Tim Rozon) that her relationship with Ted is the longest one she's had "voluntarily," the mayor's son is naturally confused. "The actual longest relationship was a three-month affair with a Saudi prince," she explains matter-of-factly. "But for the last two months of that, I was trapped in his palace trying to get to an embassy." 4)When David goes missing en route to New York, the Roses set out to find him. "Do I have to remind you of the time that I was taken hostage on David Geffen's yacht by Somali pirates for a week, and nobody answered my texts?" Alexis asks her parents, who seem unconcerned. 5)After the Roses rescue David from the miserable Amish family, he asks why nobody freaked out when Alexis went missing. "I didn't go missing, David," she corrects her brother. "The FBI knew where I was the entire time." 6)Mutt is surprised to learn that Alexis doesn't know how to ride a bike, but she points out that she has plenty of other talents. "Like, have you ever had to negotiate in Arabic?" she asks her boyfriend. "It is very difficult. And try getting into Kiss Kiss in Tokyo without a lock of human hair." Your move, Mutt. 7)"In case you wake up in a chair with your hands duct-taped together, you can snap the duct tape by just raising your hands over your head, and then bringing them down really hard," Alexis advises her brother as he sets out for a seedy bar. 8)"It's just a checkpoint, OK?" Alexis tells Johnny (Eugene Levy) and Roland (Chris Elliott), who have contraband raw milk in the bed of their truck. "I've been through tons of these in Johannesburg. It's like a drive-through, except everybody has a gun." When her dad asks when she was in South Africa, she answers, "I don't know. I remember I just got my braces off." 9)"I once dated this sultan's nephew, who was forbidden to talk to me or even to look at me," Alexis tells a client at work. "And we made it work for like, half a regime change." 10)"Um, I'm sorry, were you picked up by the South Korean secret police on New Year's?" Alexis asks her brother, facetiously. "I had to sweet talk the consulate's lawyer to get me a passport before midnight." 11)"I have my license in seven different countries, and I have my F Class," Alexis tells David. "Isn't that for transport trucks?" her brother asks, incredulous. "I had a lot of people to move!" she responds. A bit later, when David accuses her of flirting her way into things, Alexis retorts, "OK, you try parallel parking in a burka, David. No amount of flirting can get you out of that." 12) "I did not finish high school," Alexis explains to Jocelyn's (Jennifer Robertson) English class. "It’s this long, boring story involving a yacht, and a famous soccer player, and like, a ton of mushrooms." 13)When Alexis' class begins studying Marie Antoinette, she decides to interject with her own applicable anecdote. "My friends used to call me Marie, and that was mainly because I was casually seeing Prince Harry, so there was the whole, like, 'Is she going to be a princess?' thing," Alexis proudly shares. "But it's also because we were going through this very dark phase where we were just like, partying too hard." 14)When asked how she's so good at pool, Alexis responds, "You learn pretty quickly when you're in a Ugandan diamond smuggler's villa playing for your friend's freedom." 15)When Alexis arrives at Ted's apartment wearing high heels, he points out that she can't run in those shoes. "Tell that to me at 21, escaping the Yakuza," she tells him slyly. Talk about adventures!!! So freaking hilarious.
I love you David!! And Moira! And Stevie! Ah, I love them all! Thank you for making the winter of 2020 bearable! I’m a huge fan since then! And I now watch this show whenever I feel blue 😁
I knew most of the fun facts from this video from hours of watching so many interviews 🤣. It's nice to see them all laid out. Would love a part 2. Nice references to the show, too. Anyone with a fibre of common sense would pepper in a milieu of callbacks to the actual show. Anyway, I love this show and I miss it already. I didn't think anything could kick parks and rec and b99 off my fav/top comedy list. This reigns supreme. Of those three, this may be the one I've rewatched the most. There is a certain warmth to the show that feels authentic and comforting. Like a warm hug from someone you love. All of the Roses and the people of Schitt's Creek have depth as characters and rarely is anyone a 2d characater. Alexis, for example, could easily have been an oversimplified Kardashian type. Self-absorbed, selfish, etc (which Alexis seemed at first). But because of how she was characterized, we learn she's actually very caring and not really as selfish as she came across in the beginning. I'm not sure other actors would have brought that warmth and authenticity as Annie did. In the first episode I found the other characters somewhat unlikeable as wel, but grew to love them as the series went on. I'm sad I got into it fairly late, just before s6 and after s5. But regardless, grateful that I saw it.
When the first season came on, I was flipping through channels and lucked up on it. I’ve never heard of POP channel. I watched the 1st episode probably around 80 times. Everyone that came in I said, “You’ve got to watched this show. I laughed so hard.” Yes I made them. In turn, they laughed and loved it! Roland Schitt! Who could ever beat that? No-One. I love you guys so much and cried the last season, especially the last two. I came to love these characters to the point I miss them so very much! The hope I had for this family. How I wanted them to re-gain what they had plus some. But if they happened would they stay at Schitt’s Creek? I did not want them to leave. I was so happy they way my favorite characters went out on the last two episodes. My only hope, they come back! It was the greatest times having people over to watch my favorite all-time show! I love you guys and miss you already!! Love to all
I’m about to finish my 4th run through of the whole show. I just love it! I cry during every episode starting in season 5. When Stevie sings in Cabaret, I can’t hold myself together!
IMO, Moira is just plugging in Spanish words ('bebe'), using antiquated English words ('Felicitations') and throwing out a lot of French. I can't remember which exact words, but frequently - I was caught by surprise at all the loosely pronounced French words that came out at random. 😃
I love this show.. Eugene and Catherine are doing it again.. I had no idea that David was his son.. They say the creators are Eugene Levy and Dan Levy, n I thought they were brother's. Lol. Love it all!! ❤️🤗
Oh my god this was the worst video I’ve seen. Too much voiceover. The voiceover guy basically only reads out quotes from the cast. You barely get to actually hear them speak for themeselves. Awful
