First you need to reset the device to factory settings. Since there may be settings that will prevent the device from being allowed to work in modbus mode.
you need to find "plc control" in your HMI and put some adresses of your device (in this case ATV12) in it so HMI and ATV can communicate when you escape in other screen, or the another way (which is not good) is to turn off modbus timeout protection in ATV12. also you can check communication in atv 12 just go in MON-NAi-CoN1
