Read the Bible without bias and you will see. I did. When I read it before with my own ideas, I didn’t understand it. When I finally came to it honestly to find out what it really says, this is what happened, I finally began to see things as they really are, and not what I was told they are. @@mekavio8231 You need to study the new covenant and the different categories of law in the OT. We don't do that because we have read and understand the whole of scripture, not just a single verse out of context. So keep reading it and you will see God more clearly and discover He is good.

@@psyck if you get the ESV bible and read the last chapter of Mark. There's a denomination of Christianity that charmed snakes at church because of this textual variant. Also most scholars consider the woman at the well as a textual variant. those two examples are the only ones I can think of that affect doctrine. so yes story's have been added to the bible, but most are insignificant. Defiantly get the ESV bible if your worried about it.

While I wholeheartedly believe that it is by the grace of Christ that we are saved, I think that some feel that all they need to do is confess / profess Christ’s name and their sinful nature to receive His grace. I think a thorough reading of all the scriptures confirms, as the second chapter of James clearly points out, that, although completely insufficient to bring us salvation on their own, good works, that is living according to His example and commandments is something we must diligently and humbly do in our daily lives.
You literally cannot say "the bible" when there are multiple corrupted manuscripts. You have to say- "this bible" or "this translation" That's why you use the Textus Receptus and not the others. Good grief man... This coverage is rendered moot

He was an atheist and tested the Bible by researching the "Table of Nations" part of Genesis to see if all the people and families who were dispersed by the confusion of languages could be found in real document places. He also limited himself to records in countries that were created before Christian missionaries showed up. He found that the part he checked, at the time he wrote his book, was 99% accurate. That's much better than any other old historical text. You can read "After the Flood" online for free. Also, try reading the King James Version of the Bible cover to cover, and don't just depend on what other atheists claim that it says.

Don't prove anything is true logically. You cant prove it because the burden of proof cant be ment. No one can prove there is a god for example and bad science in the bible kind of sucks. Also the claims in the bible are not proof. Most is what you would call hearsay evidence at best. Nothing in this video is proof of anything sadly. Wallace and Ehrman are remarkable. Both of them have access to all the same evidence, and studied the New Testament in its entirety. The same evidence that made Ehrman an apostate, also made Wallace a believer.

That's right. Dr. Wallace said in the original text there is no word 'fasting'. But who knows praying included fasting in the original meaning. I agree, people need to fast. A simple reason. Because, if one fasts, one isn't distracted by the bodily fuctions, one becomes 'lighter' and more aware, more peaceful and one comes closer to God.

The amount of textual corruption that has been removed from the text is precident for more. I agree with his claim that the new testament doesn't have any seeming errors that could affect theology, but things like the Joanne comma or the last chapter of Mark show that corruption has taken over time. Since we don't have the original copies for any part of the bible, there is no certainty that the bible as we have it today is 100% accurate to its original text.

I’m 73 and re-read the Bible in the one year format starting in May of 2022, I completed this amazing book in May of 2023! I found that the more I read, the more I wanted to read, which surprised me. I found so many things changing in my life…..and my appreciation for life, family, friends and especially my decisions about everything. This past year, I’ve been reading Biblical books and study guides, learning about historical places and events. I am so thankful and happy that I started this journey. Jesus is the only thing that I know to be true, which makes me tear up and get goose bumps every time I think about him, pray to him, or even say/hear his name, Jesus christ. Him never letting me go and always nudging me to be closer to him is my evidence.

The earliest bibles are in Hebrew and Greek and Aramaic. The translations are many and are subject to errors. This does not alter our earliest texts. The Dead Sea scrolls also confirm the accuracy of the bible. Finding translation errors or omissions won't alter my faith.

If you are asking someone who has been signed off on by someone else's knowledge to a degree if the bible is true or not. That shows that there is NO real belief or faith from that individual. The apostles taught as it was needed and it came from the source to the issues. The Bible is written living testimony of what went down, and what's about to transpire. It was written by them who witnessed and lived through the possession of devils and seeing something more powerful put those things in place. They in the written testimony of the book you read in the bible wrote about Christ from the beginning and tell the same story through the generations that grew with them as they lived with Christ in the new testament and they said as a testimony in the old testament that Christ is going to walk in flesh to be our mediation to our GOD creator and Heavenly Father. No matter the religion if you consider Jesus and ask him to show you, ever individual that means it receives it in his name every time without fail. There is no argument even from the the-ists out there in science itself, and they say it has to be created no just come together some how. The fact science and its affiliates have deities they worship and give tribute to should show that they know God exists and they don't want him or his Christ. The Bible is right. How would you explain why even in the quran Jesus is called messiah and Christ and acknowledged that he was hung on the cross? Jesus is the only name known by all religious groups and no matter who the group is they all know who he is regardless. That's how you know he is real and that he is being lied on just because he's not physically here.
Watch Truth is Christ 666. I’ve watched several of his videos and was awe struck. He proves the KJV is God’s Bible and all other translations are not. But you need to come to your own conclusion.
Hi Cary, I've increasingly seen those who say KJV is God's bible, and I'm very torn about it, although I lean towards most modern translations (as well as KJV) being good enough. I sympathize with those who are KJV only because why would God allow His word to be slightly misrepresented for so long just to update translations to ESV, NIV, etc.
Which Jesus are you following? Within 10 years after Jesus Crucifixion we find many false teachers preaching. For St. Paul had warned the church in Corinthians . "For you gladly tolerate anyone who comes to you and preaches a different Jesus, not the one we preached; and you accept a spirit and a gospel completely different from the Spirit and the gospel you received from us!" *2 Corinthians 11:4* False teachers, were masters in creating confusion in the minds of innocent sheep. They used ancestry to create it. Si. Paul says "I want you to stay in Ephesus, just as I urged you when I was on my way to Macedonia. Some people there are teaching false doctrines, and you must order them to stop. Tell them to give up those legends and "*those long lists of ancestors*," which only produce arguments; they do not serve God's plan, which is known by faith." 1 Timothy 1:4 The false teachers were Jews well conversed in OT and they are the ones who created the Masoretic Hebrew text to prove that Jesus is not the Messiah ! The Septuagint Bible, from which Jesus quoted the OT verses pointed towards him as the Messiah. Thats the reason why the Jews created Masoretic Hebrew text, by making a few changes in the genealogy and deleting 7 books from the Septuagint Bible. The corrupt priest, Martin Luther, called Vatican corrupt and recommended deletion of 7 books and adopting the Masoretic Hebrew text as the OT !! If Vatican was corrupt during reformation period the CHURCH OF ENGLAND would not have been formed by King Henry VIII and his successor King James would not have come out with KJV Bible. As KJV Bible has incorporated Masoretic Hebrew text as OT, its the wrong Bible for any christian who follows Jesus Christ ; who died on the cross for us sinners. Matthew 27:17-26 says So when the crowd had gathered, Pilate asked them, “Which one do you want me to release to you: *Jesus Barabbas, or Jesus who is called the Messiah* ?” For he knew it was out of self-interest that they had handed Jesus over to him. So which Jesus do you follow ? If you read KJV, you follow Barrabas If you read a Catholic Bible / Bible which has the Septuagint Bible as OT ,you follow Christ !!! So which Jesus do you follow ?
I'm surprised this made its way into my recommended. I'm around your age and I had been raised Catholic throughout elementary and middle school, though I lost belief in the Bible and Jesus at around 4th grade. 4 months ago, I accepted Jesus back into my life. I'm Christian now, and my life has gotten harder. Even then, I've still held on to my faith. Multiple times, I've looked for something or someone to disprove God and Jesus for me, but I never found anything. Even the smartest atheists didn't convince me. The multiverse, the simulation, none convince me except Jesus. And starting recently, my life has gotten better. My grades are up, I trust Jesus more than I have before. It's hard, I'm not gonna lie about that. But I have everything to gain in my belief in Him.
Read John 6:35-69 and I letters to cortinthians 11:18-34. The old term "eucharitia" from the english word "eucharisty" means "sacrifice". But people are forgetting this, saddly.

Well presented, thank you. On Jesus performing miracles, it was noted by Josephus, the Hebrew historian, that Jesus performed miracles in the land I. E Judea and Samaria. It was thus confirmed by a secular source. Even the pharisees agreed on the miracles when they asked Jesus from which source His Power comes, from God or from the devil. I have read Lee Strobel' s book, the case for Christ. In it he uses a investigative journalist approach to determine if Jesus was real, that He died and was resurrected. A worthwhile read to put all questions to rest. May God bless and keep you all. The Bible is like an onion. The more you read it, the more you discover layer upon layer of new insight. I've only recently started to read the Bible from cover to cover but it is amazing how themes in Genesis is connected to the rest of the Bible and how many types of Jesus occurs in the Old Testament. Joseph, Moses, the layout and furniture of the tabernacle, the camping arrangements of the Israelites during their Exodus, Joshua, Boaz (in Ruth). Jesus's crucifixion prophesied in Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22. The Bible is an integrated message system of which the volume speakers of Jesus.

*I'm 70 now and have read only the exact same copy of the King James Bible my church gave me in 1961. (This does not mean I was a King James onlyist but now I'm glad I never read any others or I might not have noticed the changes as quickly.) I had memorized many scriptures from it through the years. Then in 2014 I started seeing changes in it that I couldn't explain. I have an exceptional memory, for instance I can draw a detailed picture of my baby stroller. I had never owned a computer or heard of the "Mandela Effect" back then. But after being given my first computer in 2016, I finally found out why I had been noticing all of the oddities that I couldn't explain. I then started diligently studying what should actually be called the ''Daniel 7:25 Effect''. That's where God said He would give the antichrist the power to "change times and laws'' which we now know meant (history and scripture plus laws of physics). We're seeing many end times prophecies being fulfilled SUPERNATURALLY! This is some of the "lying signs and wonders" that God told us He would give the AC power to perform which would even deceive His very elect, if it were possible in 2nd Thessalonians chapter two!* *God said in the end of days, (NOW!) that He would send us a famine for hearing His word in Amos **8:11** and that He would give the antichrist the ability to do this in Daniel 7:25. In Daniel 12:4 & 12:9 He told him to seal his book until the end days. He told John **_not_** to seal his book because the end time is at hand in Revelation 22:10. One of the Greek definitions of seal in Strongs concordance is “to protect from Satan”. He also told us to write His words in our hearts, which meant memorize, if not word for word at least the essence of what was written, because He knew this was going to happen.* *God commanded us to "prove all things", and people **_better_** obey Him, especially on this subject. Grew up in the church, joined the army became a self proclaimed atheist. Years later at 33 after what i can only describe as God himself pulling on my heart. I came back to him. This time i was hungry...so hungry that I would listen to theology podcasts and priests preach about the word for 12 hours a day at work (still do). I have never been so sure of an afterlife. As an atheist i lived in the world and feared death, as a Christian.... I minister to the world and no longer fear death, but await it patiently.
sometimes it is much comfortable to live with the illusion that there IS a life after death.. regardles, what you like to believe, or hope to believe or whatever other facts you ingore so you CAN believe, don't matter, the only thing that matters is what is TRUE, regardless if you like it or not. and the truth is, zero objective evidence there is life after death, and zero objective evidence any god(s) is/are real.
@@mekavio8231 When people die, go beyond, then return and tell us what they experienced, there's objective evidence. People saw Yeshua/Jesus alive, saw him die, then saw him alive. Lots of people saw him, and some wrote down their experiences. It changed their lives and many died instead of capitulate and recant. If you say no that didn't happen, then no book, and no experience in your life, can be trusted. Not even your self.

Sadly for me, my second re-reading of the bible unraveled my faith. I just decided , I didn’t actually like God that much. Layering onto that, contradictions I could not rationalise, and some Old Testament tenants I just find pretty obnoxious. I stepped away from the church most likely for good. I still hold that ethical behaviour is a virtue we should all pursue, and if Christianity is a good route to that for you [here I use you in the general sense], I have no problem with that. However, I think the corruption of the Christian faith probably stems more from wilful misinterpretation [or to put it another way, people interpreting the text of the bible in a way that serves their beliefs or goals, rather than forming their beliefs and goals around biblical texts] than mistranslation. I would love to see a publication of these examples though, as here the speaker very much expects the listener to just, take his word for it, that the examples he gives are entirely typical. I’ve been dealing with the NIV version of MARK 9:29 where FASTING is left out….& since Fasting is what gets me closest to GOD at times, it was alarming to see it missing from my Holy Bible 📖 I immediately got a Bible that had it in it, but as a New Follower of YASHUA it’s upsetting to have anything important missing from Scripture,,,especially THE WORDS OF CHRIST….GOD help us all…. NIV leaves a whole lot out, including words of Jesus. They are a money making enterprise. You can download the KJV for free, or most Christians can give you one free. The KJV matches ancient manuscripts better than any other version. And as more ancient manuscripts turn up, the KJV is shown as even more accurate.
Great! The bible is consistent and all that. How do we now demonstarte that the teachings of the bible are true? "I'll give you all the miracles and you'll still be left exactly where you are now, holding an empty sack" The Hitch.
One thing that I think is most important to remember is that the contents of the Bible are not just the past. In the Bible is the claim (paraphrase, documented at end of post) that God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. So the healings that Jesus did 2000 years ago are available today. The answering of prayers documented in the Bible are available today. But most importantly, the promises made in the Bible by God are still honored today. We can discuss the Bible whether it has been altered or misrepresented or anything like that but it will not convince anyone of the Truth represented in the Word that is God. One must earnestly seek Him out as God has promised that ANYONE who seeks Him out with their whole heart He will reveal Himself to (Jeremiah 29:13). Actual documentation: Hebrews 13: 8 says “ Jesus Christ is the Same yesterday , today , and forever. “ and MALACHI 3: 6 says “ For I am the LORD , I change not . therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. “
This is one of many reasons anyone who reads a holy book literally is a fool. It's a book, it can be rewritten, mistranslated, misrepresented, and more. We know these words have changed over the centuries, how can they possibly describe anything but the author's point of view?
The closer you look, the better it gets. Try to find all of those mistakes and contradictions in the Bible that you always hear about. If you do it honestly, you will become a Christian. It happened to me and MANY others.
Of course tens of thousands of people have had literally thousands of years to debunk the contradictions. If each gospel has a different account of Jesus' final words just combine them all. If one account has Jesus tell his deciples to stay in town and another to leave town we'll have them stay for a while and then depart. If Judas dies by tripping and falling spilling his guts out and another account has him hanging himself then he must have hung himself then the rope or limb broke and his guts spilled out on a rock. That these answers seem unlikely, suspicious or absurd does not make them impossible if you want to believe. Bart's rejecting christianity is based on the question of evil, suffering, injustice in the world.
One thing most youths needs today is a God that doesnt change his gender, personality or beliefs every day, but stays consistant all the time. God is the greatest and Jesus is his son that was sacrificed for us when we still was sinners just so God can be with us and give us grace and everlasting life. AMEN!
These days there are so many Bible versions and editions, you cannot really say the Bible is accurate. You have to be specific what translation and edition you are talking about. Or since the debates are only about 1% of the text, what you think is the accurate way to translate and interpret those sections. Of course it is also important to be able to say 'i do not know', rather than feelings you need to take a position and fight for it, as some do.
The majority of modern bibles are accurate. The differences are down to reading style, so a literal translation vs a dynamic one vs paraphrase etc. Add to that the change in language and it makes for many varied translations.
I recently discovered the Names of God translation which retains the original names for God like El, Elohim, Elyon, El Shaddai, Yahweh Sabaoth, etc. Rather than translating it to God or The Lord. It makes it easier to see who is writing between the Elohist, Yahwist, Deuteronomist and Priestly sources.
You are mistaking translations with originals, which he is talking about here. Besides that, even if all you had left of english language bibles would be a parts of the "passion translation", you could reconstruct a reliable text based on: 1) collectoin of old greek, aramaic, hebrew documents 2) by comparing translations from all over the world. Would you arrive at a word for word identical KJV (or whatever choice you prefer), no. But you would have one that contains the original message without ommissions.
I can say that the King James Version matches the oldest manuscripts better than any other version. As older manuscripts are found, the match is even better. The Bible is 100% true. I have seen the proofs, so I actually do know for a fact. I will not say "I do not know," as it would be a lie, which is a sin.
You are still very young and yet very eager to seek the Lord and to share His gospel. May the Lord of harvest continue to use millions of teens like you to disciple the world as He commanded us to do.
I guess is this is what they teach in basic theology. Many people are unaware of just how sure of a thing that the Bible is especially the Old Testament.

I know that as an atheist, I didn't care if there was a God or not, I just wanted to do my own thing, and that didn't work out too well for me after a while.
13:40 then why is Bart ehrman no longer a christian? He says he's an agnostic or an atheist I believe. He's not a good source overall as he just does not believe yes he might be a textual scholar but that's irrelevant because ultimately anyone who has belief in Christ is one who is united with christ. The thing about those who claim that the Bible contradicts itself is often time they fail to take the Bible as a whole.It is made up of many books, written by many authors over many years but it is one story that truly only has one actual author. In my recent studies I couldnt help but notice how the Bible reaffirms itself again and again. I was looking for this and I cannot claim to be a Bible scholar but this has just been jumping out at me this past year. It has been a marvelous revelation, The Bible does not contradict itself.
One story and one author who apparently can’t even remember how to spell. The truth is that the Bible is a mishmash of good and bad and everything in between. You see what you want to see when you read it. And that’s why followers range from Prosperity Ministry to burning witches at the stake.
It always makes me happy to hear that someone has opened the door for God, been reborn, and begun a new relationship with Jesus. The Bible is spiritually discerned and those who have not been born again cannot see them for they are God from the carnal mind so the world will always see flaws in it. Second Jesus said in John 7 that if any man will put to practice the doctrine of his words then they will know if it is of God or some other. Jesus gave glory to the Father and assured us of His oneness in Him. Only those who open their heart humbly to Jesus will not only see that He is God but also that the Bible is the record of that reality and is the inspired words of a wonderful and gracious God who loves us all

That book is full of brown stuff. We have a crapload of papyrus writing from thousands of years before the New Testament. We have copies of New Testament books that date back to the lifetimes of eyewitnesses to Jesus. Whether you think of writings as "scripture" or not, any writings back then were handwritten and considered valuable. As was said in the video, most of those differences make zero difference in doctrine or meaning. Buttrick was British and a Presbyterian, both of which I consider suspect. Trivia: Buttrick was the preacher that married President Trump's parents. Throw this one out at your next party.
Great job young man. I wish I had your intelligence at that age. I had to mess everything up to understand I wasn’t doing things right. I wasn’t most of my life run the streets doing bad things. But understand it’s not that I didn’t believe , I made the choice to follow sinful path. I was looking for exactly what caused Esau to lose his birthright. Now I’m trying to find a place. I know I’m loved and I have much work to do. Videos like this bring comfort. But after seeing what I’ve seen . I know God is real because I know evil is real. What truly makes me sad is seeing all the young being deceived. Evil has imbedded itself in our schools, our country that was one nation under God is not allowed to be said. I am 43 and have come in to the family of Christ and I can say in full reality that if God is not real then none of this word is and everything is a lie. My mind has been blown away at the reality of Christ that God became human to save humanity becuase of his love and mercy and that the minor and major Sciences Testify to this truth. And to deny this truth is to deny life itself, Is to deny the very air, in your lungs.

If a text has been proven to be changed, it cannot be true. Either it was originally true and is no longer, or it was always false, and even if it ended up true then there would be no way to know if it was so.

As I started to get older and attended high school I was not doing much of anything except enjoying my life as a teenager. Everything changed when I enlisted in the Marine Corps right after high school graduation. This changed my life and my purpose of living. The rest is just history now but many times while I was deployed overseas I’ve always had the faith of being watched by God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I’ve read my Bible during my time in the military especially when I was in combat. God had always protected my family and I. And he still does today. I’ve read my Bible over and over again. Certain Gospels I read over many times. I truly believe that each of us have a purpose in our lives to listen, learn and share our experiences with God and preach the Gospel to whomever will listen.
