Learn the traffic law, when the bus stops, first the amber lights come on to inform drivers to slow down and prepare to stop. You have more than adequate time to come to a halt as the sign and lights are red between the time of initiating the amber.
maybe watch the video. the people complaining were the ones who were passing AS the sign extended but were cited because the system is automated. even if they locked up their brakes, they're already along side the bus. what are they supposed to do? stop next to the bus and back up?
@@__shifty maybe know how the bus lights work, the amber (yellow) lights flash first before the red as the stop sign extends. Plenty of time to slow down during the yellow and stop on the red. They was not paying attention or didnt care.
I saw a vehicle pass a school bus with the stop sign today. Maybe he will get a ticket in the mail. He passed and the bus was already stopped with the stop sign and lights on.
The problem is the same as the red light cams. It goes against the owner not necessarily the driver. Plus who does the ticketed person face in court? Sounds like it will fall under house bill 1631. The other concern is did the school board sign the same contact that Humble is stuck in? People are still getting red light tickets with late fees and credit report threats from these citations when they don't pay them. Also, Humble PDs Website doesn't address that these citations don't have to be paid, like they are just letting people pay them without fully explaining they are not enforceable which seems a bit sketchy. I like the idea of cameras on school buses for this issue but it can't be automated. either the bus driver or an on board officer should be given a button to manually capture the offense and the ability for owners not driving the vehicle to have it dismissed, for it to be held up in court.
why don't you just have the other driver sign a waiver before lending out your car that says they are responsible for damage and any tickets incurred. simple.
The finances of everyone in the school administration of that district and the school board should have any/all of their finances audited... let's see who's getting the kickbacks.
You sit in the driver's seat of a school bus with kids outside with cars passing by, putting those kids in danger, and THEN tell me it has nothing to do with safety.
@Billy Lewis you don't give someone a ticket for going through a yellow light. Why give some a ticket for passing the bus as the stop sign is coming out. Also why do vehicles shown from the 1st clip need to stop? Why would anyone allow children to cross that area?

@@freddieflores8881 you should check your driving laws dude unless there is a median ,both sides of traffic must stop when the stop sign pops out, if there is a median the other side is clear.
Yes I believe the one lady was in the right. She should have appealed it. But right the mf tickets like there's no tomorrow. When my daughter was in school I stood in the middle of the lane and had people blow there horns and drive around me.
Why need to stop for a school bus on the opposite lane, when NO kid is crossing the streets??? How about some kids exiting a city transit bus and jaywalking!!??
There was a camere controvercy in UK about 20 years ago - automatic system that identified vehichels that had not been registered, wanted by police etc.. too many blacks and arabs were caught. Solution? Take down those cameras..
You still get to fight it in court.... Yellow means the bus is about to pick up/let kids out, red means they're loading/unloading. Bottom line is STOP PASSING SCHOOL BUSSES WITH BLINKING LIGHTS !!! Some people are just celf centered, self absorbed and stupid.
Well the amber lights are a warning for you to be prepared to stop so as soon as the stop arm goes out you are ready to stop. No brainer yellow means caution be ready.
i can tell u now if thay recording on pluplic property or there property then thay have a legal right to recored in pluplic and there property do u not see that going on with police aditor recording people and pigs on pluplic property
So people don't want tickets for doing illegal things...... maybe they shouldn't do illegal things then you won't get tickets.... I know common Sense is alluded a lot of people but this literally is the dumbest thing I've ever seen if you don't like it don't do what's wrong
If you see a bus coming to a stop, especially in an area not designated for a stop, clearly it’s going to let kids off. Maybe just stop speeding and you won’t be complaining.
