Hey people!! Thanks so much for watching this lunch video!! This is the 9th week of school.. whaat! I hope you enjoyed all of the snack options I included in this week of school lunches! I grew up with a use for coldcuts that just had to be eaten or they'd be thrown away. You cut them into small pieces and then fry them in a pan without added fat. But you can add chopped onions, eggs, chopped peppers... So, you can turn this into am omelette or a soljanka (that is a Slavic soup made of leftovers) or you just mix it with cooked pasta. I spend m first few years on this planet in the GDR, where everything was scarce commodity.

Apple banana is just a name, its not supposed to taste like apple but it's sweeter than regular bananas.

Everytime the peanut butter stuff comes home with Miss Eleanor I hollar at the screen "She doesn't like peanut butter!" If you heard and it caused a headache sorry. Grated cheese is coated in a potato starch stuff that makes it not clump together like when you shred it yourself. It might be why it has a longer shelf life or they use magical cows. Just give them cooked veggies in their lunch If they like that! They are ok to eat at room temp. Roasted or sautéed carrots, green beans, zucchini etc. As an adult I prefer cooked veg myself. And you can even send them with dips still. And I should take my own advice and pack some in my work lunches.

Once opened, cheddar has a fridge life of 3-4 weeks before needing throwing out. Shredded cheese can be kept in the freezer which can last for months. I always keep my shredded cheese in the freezer.

The freeze dried fruit can also be found at dollar tree. There is only sugar added to the strawberries

Your videos give me so many ideas on what to pack for lunch. With the salami, I was such a huge fan of it and would take to school every single day. There are two types the hard salami and the Genoa salami. I preferred the hard salami cause Genoa has peppercorn inside it that give it a distinct flavor.

For the made good snacks isn't 6 grams of sure great? I'm not a nutrion pro but where I live I mostly see granola bars with 12+ grams of sugar! What quantity, beside 0 because of course it's the best, should be my "goal" regarding sugar? What do you think?

LifeGoesNorth no it’s not, it has lots of preservatives in it. It also is if it’s unopened the cheese lasts but you have 1-2 weeks after you open it

That's a lie we've been told, a small amount of research will lead you to find some studies and statistics about dairy consumption and osteoporosis. :) also... while we're here talking - We are the only other mammal who drinks another mammals milk. -- that to me is crazy. cows milk is meant for huge baby calfs, not for humans. just saying- :) #nohate

THE WADS Here is a look at the benefits and potential pitfalls of drinking milk. Most people have heard that the calcium in milk helps people grow strong bones. And milk is a rich source of protein and calories, which is important for growing kids. (The information is straight from google erm so now tell me it’s wrong okay hunny though not)

You can return ANYTHING to Costco..food included. Pack up that salami and pack up those sugar loaded non allergen balls and return them. I know it seems like a bother...but if you honestly don't want it..I'd rather return it than throw it away. OR maybe a family member would like them?

Thanks for another great video, my kindergartener loves to watch them with me to give me ideas for his lunches. He’ll even tell me sometimes, “I didn’t eat my finger nails today!” Haha 😆

I'm sure they must add more preservatives in the US than UK, cheese like that will have a few weeks on it, Jamerill on her channel buys gallons upon gallons of milk for her family. I don't buy dairy milk, but I'm sure it doesn't have such a long shelf life here.

Apple bananas aren't suppose to taste like apples , it's just the name of them . They are in fact starchier then a regular banana , sweeter & mushier . Just thought I'd let you know ! The "Taste" like an Apple thing might be all in his head :)

The cheese won't last that long once it's open, but it does stay good for a long time. If you can't find that container, remember those disposable portion cups mentioned in lunch videos last school year! Those would work for dips.

Hey:) On the granola things you bought from Costco- the 3rd ingredient on the chocolate chips one is not sugar- if you look it’s in parentheses which means it’s part of the ingredients of the chocolate chips. Love you lunch videos!

Hi Kim!! Lol, even though you didn’t go food shopping, you still managed to come up with good lunches. Eleanor is so adorable. I’ve never heard of those apple bananas, but I don’t think I’d try them... I like my bananas to taste like bananas, LOL. Have a great day!

The bananas need to ripen. They aren't fully ripe until Brown dots appear. They will taste way better too. I can't stand green banners.

THE WADS I hear green bananas are great for digestion. I go to my local grocery store and buy all of the spotted bananas they have every week. They are super cheap too. I eat like 8-10 a day. Ill have to look for these apple banana.

if you don't have the time to pack cooked veggies, how about cucumber, bell peppers or small radish? Could be a refreshing healthy snack that the girls might enjoy... (I hope radish is the correct english term, i'm talking about the small round veggies which are red outside and white inside, very crunchy hahaha..)

most Pre-Shredded Cheese has preservative (potato starch & Natamycyin, which is a mold inhibitor and has been banned at Whole Foods) -- I had the same reaction awhile back and started to investigate because I was curious and it was shocking...It also contains more salt than block cheese! I am currently planning my kids lunches while watching this...love these videos!

Hmm Cliff bard are a keeper 9 grams of protein for 23 grams of sugar. She's a smart cookie. If you don't understand this IT HAS MORE SUGAR THAN IT DOES PROTEIN!! You might as well be putting a mars bar in their lunch because a cliff bar is an expensive mars bar that doesn't taste as good.

Honestly most cheese is aged it's probably already pretty old the sharper the cheese the older it is. Parms can go 5 years before they are ready to eat or moe

You should get some thermals for the girls and roast some veggies for them the thermals from Walmart here are 5 bucks and they keep my food warm I work 6am to 5pm so I two twenty minute lunch breaks one at noon and one at 330 I'm still able to eat my warm food

After day come home from school you need to check there lunch box if day eat all of there food from there lunch and there snack and there water if day have a left over food from there lunch åre from there snack the is funny day have mom banana åre baby banana maybe she will not eat the carrot there is no drop for the carrot the is funny she put the apple in the sandwich bag you need to go to the store to buy a salad dressing you need to cut the apple in helf maybe she this not like the corn you can make banana bread åre a peanut butter banana sandwich and a jelly sandwich some of the girls this not like the carrot she like me I do not like the green peas and a orange carrot
