Wenche (the old lady working at the grocery store) simply unlocked the ability's.Vidar unlocked Laurit's one wich is Loki. That's how he birthed Jormundgandr (The world serpent). He probably also will give birth to Fenrir (who slay's Odin during Ragnarok) and Hel (name is self explanatory). To fight and defeat the Jotun's (giants). The Jutul family. EDIT : Loki even turned into a mare, fckd a horse, then gave birth to Odin's 8 legged horse called Sleipnir. Also, Tyr did NOT fight with Fenrir. He willingly laid his arm into his mouth as Fenrir was chained. Tyr knew Fenrir would bite it off if the rope Gleipnir worked.

I really hope they dont make loki as the bad guy. I really like his character and how you can see he loves his brother no matter what.

This show is more accurate to Norse myths that the Marvel movies are to their own fucking comics.
